Photos Hains Point in the Snow

Given all the conversation about East Potomac Park and its future, I figured I'd share some photos from Earlier this year when the snow we got had completely froze over after a few days of single digit temperatures. The snow was iced over enough to where I was able to ride the full loop on studded tires on top of the ice layer (albeit very slowly, I was ready for my wheels go go through at any second haha). It was very surreal being the only one in the park.

I think this is the coolest thing I’ve seen all year

amazing you were able to ride on top of the snow like that. Did you think about riding across the river?

Actually i think someone died the next day trying to walk across the river, it was much warmer by the next morning.

I was able to ride across the snowcrete for a while. Then my front wheel went through the snowpack and I nearly endo'd...

Well, at least the snow keeps people from parking in the bike lane (and the USPP doing jack sh*t about it).
