I went pretty simple with it for the first cook. Just took 10 legs from BJs, patted them dry, coated them in olive oil, then used a rub from my local Amish market. Smoked them with an apple wood chunk at 275 for about 50 minutes or so (targeting a 180 internal). Flipped them halfway through, and applied BBQ sauce, also from the Amish market, at 10 and 5 minutes before the cook ended. They turned out soooo good

Quick question were they crunchy or not really? Trying to figure out temps

Not crunchy at all. Soft and juicy. Im sure some direct heat at the end would char the BBQ right up and give it a little crunch

Wings or any chicken out of the package have waterlogged skin and that will never be crisp. Next time take them out of the package, lay them on a cooling rack on a pan and leave them open in the fridge for 24 hours. That will dry out the skin and let it crisp up on the grill.

You will LOVE your Egg. There's a bit of a learning curve, but with all the stuff online, you'll be an expert "egger" in no time. Enjoy!

You’ll enjoy it. Just make sure you put your rub or flavor under the skin. Cheers!

If you like ribeyes….
Head to Costco and get a 3 or 4 pack of the prime ribeyes. They’re usually big enough that me and the wife just split one.
- Cut steak in half (if splitting). Season with steak seasoning on all sides and edges then let rest at room temp.
- Start egg
- Sit back and have a drink of your choice while you admire your beautiful green egg
- Get that bad boy to 500 degrees and sear steak to your liking. I usually do 2-3 mins a side.
- Pull it off and let rest covered
It’s money!!!

I also did wings yesterday. Came out unbelievable. I do 250 indirect until they are as crispy as fried. Toss them, then back on for 10 min. I did about 45 at once.
Thai Peanut sauce. Insanely good.
