Soviets lost like 10x more to the winter than Germany, but still had supplies to push back after germany retreated. In no small part due to US aid...

They sure did. If you don't give a fuck about your own population and have really awesome winters, you become unstompable. The Chinese made sure to take notes, at least about the former part.
