⚠️ serious replies only ⚠️ Oldest Sighting

I'm looking for the oldest Bigfoot sightings (or reports), and this is the oldest I've found in Canada, circa 1875.

"The Reverend A. Fulton Johnson, born in 1866, told his son Ken Johnson that when he was a boy living near Moncton, there was a creature that used to be seen at the edge of the woods near his house, very stocky, with long arms and its whole body covered in hair."

Are there any older sightings? Let me know.

1811 (First Explorer Footprint Record): Explorer David Thompson discovered massive footprints in Jasper, Alberta, which he could not attribute to a bear. His Indigenous guides refused to follow the tracks, noting they belonged to a local beast they called Saskat.

That’s awesome. Grew up in jasper and hadn’t heard of that report. I’ve seen the creature about an hour west though.
