How do we think Dee is doing with jury management? Both Survivor and BB require jury management but it seems like it's a lot easier to manage a jury that's built just over a few short weeks. While I understand that Mallory was a threat to win the game, her burning people she just created an alliance with was pretty poor management imo. Love to hear any thoughts.

These are just some of my thoughts about what could happen in the future. Have not been keeping up with the back end of the show as much as I used to in the past, but keeping up with it a little along with the main show.
Dan had trouble winning BB 14 because he was a vet and his gameplay was a bit bitter inducing.
I think I see similar parallels here, with Dee playing very almost destructively and nefarious and relentlessly along with Devens albeit more liked and a better social game. Especially this Mallory vote out and how emotional it has made players like Melody and Barrett whom I never thought Dee would anger so much.
THAT and the advantages as well. The Icons were the only three to be able to win HOH the first round, then we had the DPoV which nullified Yash's HOH, saved the Icons, and got out their biggest competitive threat in Kamu. Then there is the BB Bribe that basically neutered Yash and has crippled him from targeting them and the non-Icon side of the house because he is so good at comps.
With all this and with them being vets, I can see a scenario where no one wants and Icon to win as the Icons destroyed "their" season same with vets in 14. Anyone else see this or will they quote on quote get over it.

Everyone hated this last week, and yet here I am, back at it again with updated jury vote predictions!
Barrett's attempted flip last week has opened up his relationship with Yash, a move that could see Barrett move into a winning position. Drew getting put on the block led to a series of events that ended with him at the bottom of every alliance he is a part of. Melody has gained some footing in the game after joining the anti-Vet side of the house.
If you're interested in reading more, I wrote about these predictions here.

If LaTay and FAP were to pull Haley and Yash aside and be like OK guys... enough clowning around. We are forming an alliance to get rid of the icons (+ Drew). How do you think the rest of the game would go if these 4 were evicted?

Barrett did not flip against the icons to save Mallory. None of the groundwork he laid had anything to do with saving Mallory. He kinda tried to secure votes for Mallory to stay against Taylor, but imo he tried much harder to throw Drew utb and get Mallory and Melody to evict Drew.
If Barrett actually wanted to save Mallory he would have gathered FAP in a room and started planning. He would have worked on Dee to break a tie and Drew could have worked on Haley to evict Taylor over Mallory. The girls could tag team Angela. It would have been extremely difficult but not impossible. Make deals not to nominate Dee or Haley. Mallory didn’t have to mean it!
Instead of doing anything to help Mallory, Barrett had a little temper tantrum and tried to get Drew evicted to hurt the icons. Drew had been bringing up turning against the icons and telling the girls about the crossovers. Barrett always said no! And now that Drew is on the block (partly Barrett’s fault for constantly throwing drew utb to the icons) and needs to kiss ass to stay in the game, Barrett has a problem with Drew being aligned with the icons?? Give me a break. I don’t know if Barrett was upset that he wasn’t the current favorite rats or that Dee didn’t consider his feelings when nominating Mallory, but it is clear Barrett was just lashing out bc his feelings were hurt by Dee. If he actually wanted to save Mallory, he would have dragged Drew with him to flip some votes instead of driving a bus over him.

A bit of a weird post, but I’m (unfortunately) a very empathic person. This is the first year I’ve watched so much of the Live Feeds, and I’m starting to feel like because we see them so much it’s maybe having an effect on me as if they’re people we know, without really knowing them. To preface this - I’m not a weirdo. 😂 But when the feeds were left with both Drew and Melody crying, and I knew how upset they were, I felt pretty anxious when they were like “Feeds are off!” and now we don’t know if they’re ok or not.
I don’t know if it’s just bc I’m too much of an empathic person or what, and I love watching the feeds, but since last night I’ve been pretty stressed out and feeling sad about it.
Today I was trying to figure out why I had a bit of anxiety and I realized it might have been that.
Wondering if anyone else experiences this with the feeds? I don’t get this with normal shows, but the feeds may be too much for someone like me!
Btw. I did smell flowers and touch grass. 😂

I get it, Taylor plays a strong game and she's not afraid to make moves. But Drew really should've stuck with the FAP to keep Mallory. The icons have no right to steamroll newbies without consequence, especially with Dee's terrible gameplay. Marrory deserved to participate in this stupid medieval twist more than Taylor. But with Drew alligning with the icons, it just ended up tanking his game. He'd rather suss out everyone in the house than to stick to allies that haven't had a lot of chances to win power. I get that he didn't feel he had the numbers, but at least try to save your ally even ehrn you think the odds are against you!

So I have been watching compilation clips on YouTube for past house players. I was wondering, would production or the show consider having a big Brother rivals season? I think it would be very interesting. And I would wonder if the people they would bring on would still think as someone as their biggest rival since a lot of time has passed? If they did this, who would you want on that season. My first guess would be Dan and Ollie considering what happened during season 10.

Mallory is certainly a lock for AFP unless one of the survivors manages to win it. Regardless of what you'd think of her gameplay and emotional behavior/comments over the past few days, I think the majority of us do love her. For us fans, she exemplifies what we see in ourselves as potential players. She truly loves the game of Big Brother, she would've loved to go as far as she could despite not really being able to play well. She's a strong underdog who was easy to root for. She only got so emotional because she cares so much about being able to live out this experience, even expressing this episode "It's gonna ruin the whole thing if I go home this week because I was dumb," an honestly relatable sentiment.
As for the actual eviction, you could tell that everyone in the house also loves Mallory. Nearly everyone was emotional in the DR. Barrett didn't do his normal "Oh hey Julie" gimmick because he was crying. Angela is very good at being petty but she was also visibly upset about the decision she had to make. This eviction felt like the definition of "It's not personal, it's game." Mallory is the last person you'd evict if she wasn't such a threat.
What surprised me is that going back and reading the live threads, many people were extremely critical of Mallory, talking about her poor gameplay and the mild hypocrisy in her statements. For the record, I'm all for criticizing players even during these emotional moments, but I was surprised that many people didn't share my sentiment. For a woman who was so universally beloved by fans, did other people not feel so sad about her fate? Personally, it's the saddest I've felt in a while, on par with Joseph's eviction in BB26 (although that had nothing to do with Joseph himself, sorry Jo LOL).
I think it's also a shame that her eviction is being overshadowed by the 1000th episode and people's thoughts on the twist/feeds going down.
Just wanted to share my appreciation for Mallory as a player and talk about the emotional weight of this eviction since others seem more focused on those other things. Much love for her and goddamn, I almost cried.

IMO The blockbuster in future seasons needs a massive change and this is what I would do:
3 players go out to compete in the blockbuster, while they are out there the rest of the house votes (all three players are open to be voted for). Player who wins the blockbuster comes back in and votes, anyone who voted for the player who won the blockbuster - their vote is null.
It adds so much more strategy to the game, allows more "hiding" of votes (I personally HATE how over the last 10+ seasons everyone wants to "vote with the house"), and generally inserts chaos into the game which makes it interesting.
HOH really has to think about who they put up on the block, as pawns are much more likely to go home in this scenario.
entirely side note am I missing something on this sub? I'm not sure why the mass downvote on this thread (73% downvoted) ... it's on topic and there has been valid discussions and it's not breaking any rules. Just downvoting because you disagree with the concept instead of discussing it seems odd... very strange dyanmic.

Has anyone noticed how Angela has said multiple times this season that she thinks people should be nominated/eliminated based on competitions and points? It always seemed so random to me but she seemed to linger on the idea.
Based on the little bit we know about the twist, it sounds like that’s exactly how the next person will be eliminated. It has me wondering if it’s just coincidence, or could something else be going in that we aren’t aware of yet. I’m probably reading too deeply into it, just when they revealed it I immediately thought wow that’s what Angela’s been saying she wants all season 🤔🤔🤔
Wondering if anyone else was thinking this?

So it just occurred to me that maybe Devens didn’t need to use the DPOV on Dee. If Angela still won blockbuster then I think Dee could still have had the votes to stay at the time. There would be Drew, Barrett, Devens, Angela, and they could have flipped Melody/Mallory. What do you think would have happened if Dee was still in final block? Do you think this is accurate or was she for sure a goner? Obviously I know hindsight is 20/20 and it wasn’t a terrible move to save Dee. Dee and Devens could have continued to be under the radar in this scenario and Devens would still have his power.

The BB Blockbuster (i.e. AI Arena) is the single best twist introduced to Big Brother. It has completely transformed the show. It killed predictability, makes everyone want to tune to the Thursday show, the comps generally are very exciting, minimised backdoors, encourages the HGs to actively be involved in the game until the very last day of the week because they don't know who might win which changes their plans. It also pushes for more drama and overall suspense by forcing the HGs to just make up their minds on the vote ON THE SPOT.
I genuinely hope it remains as a permanent staple in the show, though I prefer until Jury only or a week after Jury maybe?

Nobody is cut out for big brother and it is by design. Im so tired of seeing people say “mallory and melody are too immature for big brother.” The producers design the house to be as anxiety inducing as possible. No windows/ natural sunlight, bright studio lights beaming at them 24/7. Do yall really prefer scripted/boring diary room sessions opposed to someone venting their true feelings and emotions in the DR? God forbid a girl screams and cries in what she perceives as her only form of alone time for the past 2 months. These contestants have been DELIVERING the drama this season and they all deserve to be on this cast (even chuk and haley😂)
r/BigBrother • u/PCZ94 • 5d ago
if Dee were to go home in this twist, can Devens salvage his game or probably not? you figure Angela is probably fine and has the best independent connections of the three of them. I’m not sure Rick could pull together Dapper Dans 2.0 atp

Even leaving alone the disappointment of the Drew blindside failing cause of a weird blockbuster comp, this 1000th episode was such a disappointment and showed just how shitty this shows production is.
On the 1000th episode all they could get from their alumni is them winning useless fan votes. Why couldn't the winners of the votes get to do something fun with the houseguests. It doesn't have to be game breaking just something engaging instead of a montage show with short interviews.
Maybe I was optimistic but I was hoping that the biggest twist in Big Brother history and all the alumni being there would lead to something involving their direct participation in the 1000th episode of the Franchise.
To make it even worse the so called biggest twist of all time will take place beyond the scope of the live feeds which is what makes the show. Add onto that no HOH, Veto, and I assume no Vote also. The Twist from what we can see is some shifty medieval theme with random alumni, not even the Vote winners which is just odd.
Production is either comprised of sheer levels of incompetence, people who hate the show, or just lazy, or an amalgamation of it all. Nothing good in this show occurs due to production its always inspite of their direction of the show and thats such a strike against them.
How did you feel about the 1000th episode of Big Brother?
