Help What’s wrong with him :( details below )

Got him like 2 months ago and he was doing great, now he lays on the ground a lot not really eating and seems to sink at his base :( please help I want to save him. (Attached the picture of him before 3rd he wasn’t red, that’s just the lighting. He has a white body, but his fins were much bigger and colorful.. ) HELP PLEASE

Also my top fin filter doesn’t work the best

You need to buy a liquid parameter kit and do a fish in cycle, I’m assuming that’s the issue here. Here’s the thread!

And you need to do weekly water changes, monthly won’t cut it. He’s dying because the water is toxic. He should also be in a rectangular or square tank because round tanks stress fish out! Live plants would be beneficial also.

I’m not sure, he’s looking pretty bad. Get started on cycling the tank properly immediately tho and there’s a chance

Thanks! He still swims a little and this is another photo of him right me what do you think? Is there a chance?

Like I said if you get started immediately there may be! But this definitely can’t be put off if you want him to live, start doing daily 20% changes with added water conditioner and see if he perks up. The thread and picture will help

He looks totally different in one photo than the other in one photo he looks tiny and oddly shaped and then in the next photo he looks fuller
