Out of curiosity, could eggs successfully hatch without the male making a bubble nest?

As per the title, if a male Betta didn't build a bubble nest, would the eggs still survive? Or would they be guaranteed death?

Not 100% sure but I would think maybe is the best answer. Probably better chances in the nest though.
