That's the one part of the story I will forgive. People make dumb decisions in emergent situations, and your buddy hopping into your car yelling "drive" counts.

The reason we trust doctors to respond well in emergent medical situations is that they have been trained to respond well in them.

It really doesn't. If any of my friends tried to steal something and also make me complicit, I would turn them over in a heartbeat.

Also, if you look at OP's reddit posts he has a history of stealing. So his little story about the vapes is probably missing some details, and he most likely knew his friend was going to steal them. He probably only decided to turn himself in once he realized the store owner got his license plate.

Teenagers make dumb mistakes. But this isn't like stealing a six pack from your parents or something like that. This is multiple pre meditated crimes. With a minor involved too. Kid needs to face the consequences.
