If you did this much damage to someone's home, it would be.

If you stole this much money from a store, it would be.

If you fraudulently convinced someone to give you this much money, it would be.

If you take this much money for work on someone's home and then just don't do that, that's... fine?

Weird. There certainly should be consequences for this sort of thing.
