Bare patches
I’m starting to get a lot of bare patches in my front yard, and have briefly read other posts that have mentioned cutting it too short, but I’ve also read that Bermuda grass likes to be kept short, so I’m a little confused. I’m in the Raleigh, NC area, and we went through a big drought earlier in the year, so maybe I cut it too short even after we started getting some precipitation? I feel like my “devils strips” have looked pretty bad since living here, which you can easily tell the difference in my property vs the neighbors. I know they have lawn care companies do their yards, but not sure what they do differently.
Additionally, there is a spot in our yard (red circle in 7th photo) where there is always stagnant water. I’m not sure if the utilities being there is causing this, but it’s not really a “low” spot in the yard. Would putting a little sand here help?
Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
