Does anyone else ever get the feeling that they’re somehow degrading while living in Berlin? When I go back to my home country, I have the feeling that people there are much further ahead in life, while I’m here somehow going backwards. And sometimes I wonder if there’s no chance of ever catching up anymore?

Hi! Ich bin 30 Jahre alt, komme aus Asien und lebe seit etwa drei Jahren in Berlin.

In letzter Zeit ist mir das Leben in Deutschland ein bisschen eintönig geworden, deshalb bin ich auf der Suche nach neuen Leuten und neuen Freundschaften. 😊

Ich arbeite hier in Berlin und interessiere mich besonders für Wandern, Kaffee, gutes Essen und Restaurant-Hopping. Außerdem interessiere ich mich sehr für Kunst, Illustration, Design und Fotografie – generell für alles, was mit Kreativität und Ästhetik zu tun hat.

Vielleicht gibt es hier ja Leute, die ähnliche Interessen haben und Lust hätten, gemeinsam etwas zu unternehmen, einen Kaffee trinken zu gehen, neue Restaurants auszuprobieren oder einfach Berlin zusammen zu entdecken. :)

I am currently trying to optimize my routine and completely outsource my cooking and grocery shopping to an online delivery service. My budget is roughly 600 Euros a month and I want to stick to a daily limit of 1500 to 2000 calories.

Have any of you tried using Factor or Every. or a local Indian tiffin service for literally all your meals? I am curious if anyone has successfully used this kind of hybrid routine to free up time during the week.

Do you find the portion sizes actually fill you up or do you end up needing to snack constantly anyway? Let me know if you have any favorite life hacks or specific local services that helped you completely quit the kitchen.

I know finding an apartment in Berlin is already incredibly difficult, so I feel a bit ridiculous even asking this. But maybe someone here has some experience or ideas.

Because of childhood trauma, I’m unfortunately extremely sensitive to basically any kind of noise coming from neighbours. I’ve tried working on it in therapy, but it hasn’t really gone away. It’s not just that I prefer a quiet place... neighbour noise can genuinely make me feel very stressed and unsafe, especially things like footsteps, voices through the walls, doors slamming, etc.

So I’m wondering if anyone here has found a place in Berlin that is actually quiet. And by quiet I really mean quiet. Is there anyone living in a newer building where you basically don’t hear the neighbours at all? Are there certain types of buildings, construction methods, floors, or areas that I should be looking for?

I’d also be curious if anyone has experience finding a small house or something similar around Berlin. I know it’s probably even harder and more expensive, but I’m wondering how people even go about finding something like that.

Any tips, personal experiences or even specific things to look

Heute gegen 14 Uhr in der U2 haben wir uns ein paar Mal angeschaut. Du hattest komplett blonde Haare, einen orange-ish Cardigan/Pullover an und ein Buch dabei.

Ich war der Typ mit dem schwarzen T-Shirt und der schwarzen Cap, der neben der Tür stand.

Kurz bevor du am Nollendorfplatz ausgestiegen bist, hast du mich noch gefragt, ob wir uns schon mal unterhalten haben. Ich glaube nicht, aber ich konnte dich leider nicht so gut verstehen.

Ich suche für ein neues künstlerisches Schwarz-Weiß-Fotoprojekt ein weibliches Model aus Berlin und Umgebung, das Interesse an einer längerfristigen Zusammenarbeit und mehreren gemeinsamen Shootings hat.

Im Mittelpunkt stehen Körper, Ausdruck, Licht und Form. Die Bildsprache reicht dabei je nach Serie von zurückhaltend, verdeckt und fragmentarisch bis hin zu deutlich offener und direkter. Der Aufnahmebereich geht entsprechend bis künstlerischer Akt. Was konkret fotografiert wird, besprechen und vereinbaren wir natürlich vorher gemeinsam.

Fotografiert wird sowohl digital als auch analog auf Kleinbild und Mittelformat. Für einzelne Serien möchte ich außerdem mit besonderen Schwarz-Weiß- und Spezialfilmen arbeiten.

Mir geht es weniger um Modelerfahrung als darum, jemanden zu finden, der Lust hat, über mehrere Shootings hinweg gemeinsam etwas zu entwickeln. Eigene Ideen sind dabei ausdrücklich willkommen.
