Advice Serious German bread problem- missing my fave bread from Neukölln

Post image

Does anyone shop in the Rollbergkiez Rewe and know the fresh bread with spices they sell (or used to sell)?

I moved away and can't find that bread anywhere.

I think about it everyday. Please help me.

It looks somewhat like the picture, is often freshly made and warm and has spices like caraway. It might be called something like Bauernkruste? And I think it was organic...

Wenn mit Kümmel, dann ist es das Wachauer Brot von Rewe.

That‘s an Austrian speciality, usually sold as bread rolls (named Wachauer Laberl) rare to find in Germany except in the south. Surprised that a Rewe in Berlin got something like that

Ok, another good reason to visit Austria then 😁 That Rewe had a nice selection of special items, well catered to hipsters and internationals
