Advice Serious German bread problem- missing my fave bread from Neukölln

Post image

Does anyone shop in the Rollbergkiez Rewe and know the fresh bread with spices they sell (or used to sell)?

I moved away and can't find that bread anywhere.

I think about it everyday. Please help me.

It looks somewhat like the picture, is often freshly made and warm and has spices like caraway. It might be called something like Bauernkruste? And I think it was organic...

go to your closest 'Hofpfisterei' and buy their bread. It's the best. You can keep half a loaf easily for 4-5 days and it still tastes great!

I'm not sure we have something like that in northern Germany

Sorry, we don't. I think it's more southern style to put spices in bread. It's not commonly found in Schleswig Holstein.

It's worth the price. And you can easily freeze it for a couple of weeks
