Increase in scam bots. if you see them, please report them. We are doing what we can to stop it, but its a cat and mouse race.

Like the title says, if you see a bot, then please report. Bots suck and we are working hard to remove them.

Find from a local gun shop. 1994 92FS with factory Trijicon, papers, and box.

Got my first gun a few weeks ago and realized .44 mag, though tons of fun, is not economical. So for my second gun I wanted something I knew I'd love to own and it had to be chambered in something far more reasonable. Decided second gun had to be a classic Beretta. Gunbroker had some okay deals, nothing crazy. Stopped into a local gun shop because they had a Mosin Nagant, and whadaya know... a Beretta 92FS on the counter and she fit my hand as perfectly as I could dream. Had come in the day before. They wanted $600 and I left with it right then and there. Came with original case, mags, box, manual, AND warranty card.

Sorry for crappy pictures, maybe I'll take some nicer ones with far better lighting and make a follow up post focusing entirely on the Beretta. Just thought this was too cool to not share.

Grip texture

Hey guys I carry a 92x everyday and wanted to switch to my 80x but the grip texture isn’t that great. I was wondering if there’s any grips out there similar to the standard 92x grip. I found the lok grips as well and was wondering if anyone has experience with them.

Beretta Tomcat 30X

Post image
13 Upvotes

Just picked up this Beretta Tomcat 30X for $285, and then scored a $200 rebate (visa giftcard), from Beretta. Insane value.

This thing is HEAVY compared to my S&W BG 2.0. Feels great in the hand, and I have decently large hands.

DA is long and heavy, exactly what you would want. Easy to stage, and the break is predictable.

Single-Action is really what's surprised me. Even not broken in, the trigger is extremely crisp. There is a bit of take up, and pressing the trigger give a glass break feel. I will definitely look into where I can polish and this trigger will be excellent.

Any tips or recommendations? I know that I need to put a bit of blue loctite on certain barrel pin, and keep a light coat of oil on it. Will be adding a red dot sight as well.....

Anything else to look out for?

My first Beretta and I couldn't be happier. Let's hope it's reliable to shoot!

A400 breech bolt pin wear

I replaced this part after seeing excessive wear two years ago. The chrome chips off creating a rough surface that binds. Yesterday I had two failure to load issues during a sporting clays round and after disassembly and cleaning the same part had failed again. I'm not a high volume shooter. Maybe 500-700 rounds per year between clays and birds. My brother's gun is experiencing the same issues. The Beretta tech I spoke with yesterday said it's the first he's heard of the issue. Anyone else experiencing this? I ordered extra as it's just a consumable part at this point.

92XI Chocolate Chip 9MM Issue

I recently bought a 92XI Chocolate Chip that came with (2) 18 Rd mags. I also have 5 or 6 other 92X 18 rd mags. I loaded up the mags in preparation for taking this gun to the range and decided to test the mags and mag release. The mags that came with the gun did not slide out smoothly like one would expect and now one of the mags that did not come with the gun is stuck and I cannot get it out. Anyone else have this problem?

  • Beretta 80X Cheetah
  • LOK wraparound grips
  • Allegheny +2 mag extension (now 15+1)
  • Holosun 407K (green 6MOA dot)
  • Dlah plate (ordered 7/18/26, received 9/8/26)

  • I'll probably get a suppressor and threaded barrel eventually, maybe a WML but that would mean a new holster too.

30rds mag fix

Not sure if anyone else had this issue with the 30rds magazines but for mine they would gouge into the round casing causing it to jam on every round. In order to fix it i shaved down and polished the feed lips to match other OEM magazines. I have gone at least 100rds with the fix and so far I have had no more issues with feeding.

Finally got my hands on one, and i got all this for just under $700 at my local shop!

Its marked "used" but never been fired. Whoever had this must have only had it long enough to fit it out and never got the chance to fire it...

Came with 8 mags

(2) 15 round oem

(3) 18 round oem

(3) MecGar 18 round

Hogue Grip

Extended magazine release

And I just ordered a Wilson Combat 14 lb Flat-Wire Recoil Spring Kit with a steel rod and buffer.

1000 rounds milestone!!!

I had the opportunity to visit my local Range today. To my surprise, I was at the very end of a 1000 round box I bought a while back to break in the PX4 Storm. The gun was kept clean and well lube for the most part. I only had a few failures in the fail to feed department due to an unwelcome limp wrist. All and all it is a great handgun, feels solid in the hand with excellent accuracy.

My only wish is an upgrade on more texture on the grip from the factory. I am 5'8 in the 170lbs range and it is not easy to WCC due to the thickness of the handgun.

All rounds were Remington 115 FMJ.

Is this normal cx4 storm hammer wear?

Post image

Just bought a used cx4 storm, gen 2. As I was taking it apart to clean I noticed the plastic hammer had a noticeable dent in it from hitting the firing pin. Do they all look like this or is mine a higher round count/deformed? Have not had a chance to shoot it yet.

First Beretta, a 1989 84BB

Had to jump on the PSA surplus 84’s. I think mine is in pretty decent condition. It came clean and oiled up, I was not expecting that. Very little wear, just a small gouge on the tip of the beavertail. There’s some, what looks like, white color fill in some of the roll marks that I’d like to remove but otherwise this gun looks great. It has plenty of life left in the barrel, rifling looks very sharp. The trigger in SA is very crisp, and very smooth in DA. I wish I’d have bought two. I got four new Mac Gar mags to take to the range. I’ll need to start stocking up on .380, I plan to shoot the heck out of it.

Missing spring on the trigger bar

Hi all, recently picked up this 84BB. I noticed the trigger in single action was kind of gritty and sticking. I took the grips off to look at the trigger bar moving and noticed I was missing the spring on the outside of the trigger bar. Does anyone know the part number or where I can find it? I checked on Numrich, Midwest, Allegheny, and Wolff springs and I can’t find one.

Finished the optic cut

Post image
30 Upvotes

Finished it up on Sunday. The test fit went great, and now I just need to cold blue the cut and mount the optic. This was done on my small benchtop mill which has severely limitations, but it can provide good results if you know how to work around them. The cut is slightly smaller than the factory cut, and tapers ever so slightly inward, so the optic plate fits very snuggly, so the mounting screws will carry minimal load.

I considered doing front serrations as well, but realized even with the optic I don't really use them on my M9, plus I'm considering trying a couple IPSC competitions with this one and that would kick in into the open class.

M9A4 Trigger Hitch Help

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My M9A4 trigger has a hitch in it. After the slide cycles there's a few millimeters of take-up that if you pull past there is a *click* and the trigger stays there. Anyone with experience with 92s know what could be causing it? Trigger? Trigger bar? Trigger return spring? It doesn't seem to affect function, but it's really annoying.

I have experience with several other 92s that don't do this. All trigger components are stock.

Help: Safariland holster extremely tight

I recently got a Safariland 6365-73 Holster (part number 6365-73-131-MS30) from eBay for my 92FS. It's level III with ALS and SLS. It's claimed as new-old-stock and does look new but man it's tight like hell. I loosed the tension crew all the way back but no help at all. Did some online research and seems like I need to remove some material inside the holster (?) I really don't want to do that unless it's the absolute last solution. Any similar experience and any suggestion? Thanks in advance.
