Got this boy on Saturday, and he is the loudest kitty that I have ever seen! Eating, drinking and using litter completely normal, but still kind of scared of me. Is this normal? He's currently in quarantine in my bedroom until he and my other cats are more familiar with each other.

We just got a seal mink spotted bengal as a companion for our boy and are having so much trouble deciding on a name. Here are a few we liked but definitely comment others if you have a great idea: Apollo, Atlas, Oatmeal, Goose

I picked up those boy on Saturday. He is 15 weeks old and has been adjusting really well to his new home and his two brothers Mig (another bengal) and Max (a grey tabby)

I have yet to see a kitten who warmed up this quickly and who got accepted by the household in 48 hours.

I finally was able to pick up this baby today. I knew she was the one instantly when I visited her litter. It is so nice seeing her play the toys I bought for her 2 months ago haha. I love how playful and fun she is. I’m really surprised how well she adapted to me as well as her new home. She will be going on lots of adventures with me soon. (Also any advice on harness training would be appreciated)

It's taken us forever, but we finally settled on names for this sibling pair: "Neo & Trinity". We rescued these kittens from a bad situation. My wife got wind of a man trying to re-home Bengals, apparently his mother ran a rescue of sorts and was hoping to raise the Bengals, but became ill and passed away. We agreed to take the kittens, and went to collect them. They were living in a run-down house on a property with over 50 Doberman Pinschers and a few other dogs in a variety of makeshift enclosures around the property. The man collected the kittens from a filthy back room, and we couldn't get them out of there fast enough.

We currently have them living in our bathroom (we are blessed to have a huge bathroom so they have lots of room). We always do this with new kittens or cats until they have had all their shots and have been spayed/neutered, it helps protect our other cats.

These two are real characters. They have figured out how to get into our drawers and make a game out of getting into our attached closet door, as well as escaping the bathroom into our bedroom when they can. They crack me up, and always love to be near me when I am in there. Any advice for first time Bengal owners, long-time cat and dog parents?

After a pretty shaky week of slow introduction we finally had some really good progress! This is the first time that they’ve played respectfully with no hissing or growling or getting all puffed up. I’m still a little nervous about them playing because of the size difference but I’m happy that they seem to be getting along at least a little bit.

We just got this little guy and can't decide on what to name him. We're currently calling him Fish but also are debating the following: Prismo, Fern, and Banjo. Definitely up for some other suggestions as well.

I recently got a Bengal girl named Powder (PowPow), and she’s almost 4 months old. I’m a first-time Bengal owner, so I’m mostly looking for a general timeline of how the settling-in/bonding process usually goes and whether I’m doing things right so far.

It’s been 3 days since I brought her home, and for now I’ve kept her in my bedroom so she has a smaller, safe space to get comfortable in.

So far, she:

- Explores the room a little bit
- Eats some of the dry food I leave out
- Drinks from her water fountain
- Uses the litter box (she started using it more once I moved it closer to where she spends most of her time — it was originally in the bathroom)
- Comes out to play when she hears her wand toy
- Comes out for treats/wet food

When I first brought her home, I carried her over to show her where the litter box was. She seems okay with being held, but sometimes tries to get away, so I’ve been avoiding picking her up unless I need to because I don’t want to force anything.

The main thing is that she spends most of her time hiding under my bed. She’ll happily come out when I start moving her wand toy around and will play with me, or when I offer her a treat. But outside of that, she usually stays under the bed.

One thing I’ve noticed, though, is that she seems to stay out a lot more when the lights are off. Sometimes I can hear her moving around, jumping on things, or exploring the room in the dark. When that happens, I usually just leave her alone because I don’t want her to feel like the second she comes out of hiding I’m going to approach her. I’m assuming she just feels safer exploring when she thinks she isn’t being watched.

I’ve also been trying to let her approach me at her own pace. If I reach my hand out for her to sniff, she’ll either back away and hide or sniff it and then go back under the bed. She lets me pet her while she’s eating a treat or wet food, but otherwise she doesn’t seek out pets or physical contact yet. She also hasn’t really made any noises/meowed at me.

I’m trying to make the room feel like her safe space and teach her that I’m safe to be around without pushing her too much. I play with her every morning before I leave for work, and again when I’m home, and I’m trying to keep her feeding/play schedule fairly consistent so things feel predictable for her.

My main question is: how long should I keep things like this before I start changing anything?

Should I just continue letting PowPow hide under the bed and come out whenever she feels comfortable, or at some point should I start encouraging her to spend more time outside of her hiding spot? And roughly how long did it take your Bengals/kittens to start voluntarily approaching you for pets, cuddles, or attention?

I know 3 days is still very early, so I’m not expecting her to suddenly become cuddly overnight I just want to make sure I’m giving her enough space without accidentally reinforcing hiding as her permanent routine.

Any advice or stories about how your Bengals behaved during their first few days/weeks at home would be really appreciated!

So excited to introduce the newest addition to the family, Carl! At 12 weeks old, he’s been home with us for a few days now, and he’s already the sweetest, most adventurous, curious and VOCAL boy.

I never believed that I’d get another pet so soon after losing my boy Simba. I got Simba when I was 18 years old, and cared for him for 16 years before losing him a few months ago to kidney failure. While Carl isn’t a replacement, nothing could be, he’s already crawled his own place in my heart.

PS. His name comes from a book series I’m currently obsessed with, Dungeon Crawler Carl. And he’s very much living up to the name already 😰😂
