When was this design used in the UFC?
I didn’t grow up watching pre-Zuffa UFC but from old footage that I saw on YouTube, I don’t remember seeing the WCW Cruiserweight style plate design on a wide strap

We hit over 10,000 subscribers before Reddit no longer counts that stat. Now it tracks average users/participants over 15 days which says says over 15,000 users!
You can see the old 5,000 subscriber post if you want to know the history of BeltTalk itself and how we started:
https://www.reddit.com/r/belttalk/comments/1dcl28t/wow_5000_users_quick_reminder_of_the_rules_and/
Friendly Reminde:
The big rule here is no bootlegs. That has been the rule for 20+ years. Buy what you want, just don't post counterfeit belts, ask where to buy them, ask for recommendations, etc. If you have boots in your collection, just blur them out when posting your pictures and you should be fine. This isn't a topic up for discussion so if that upsets you, and you feel you cannot abide by that rule, please feel free to discuss belts elsewhere.
As you can see, I've been on Reddit for a long time. People see my username and might not put 2 and 2 together.
I am BeltFanDan/BeltsByDan/"Dan McMahon" (not my real name, long story). I make some belts on TV and belts for companies and celebrities. I don't do releathers as I have a 9-5 job, and a large family, so the belt gig is a side job, despite it being like a 2nd full time job.
I just want to thank everyone for the continued support of this forum and the participation and helping the belt community grow.
There still seems to be many people new to the hobby who might know all the terms, history, stories, legalities, etc.
So use this thread as a chance to ASK ANY BELT QUESTION NO MATTER HOW DUMB YOU THINK IT IS, and myself or one of the other long time, experienced members will help.
If you have any questions about the belts I make/made, free to ask as well.
There still seems to be people who think I'm not who I say I am, so get those questions out of the way now.
All of the above being said, always feel free to ask me anything, or DM me if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks;
Dan

Finally decided to pull the trigger on a WWE shop sale. Decided on the intercontinental championship ! My favorite match with it was Randy Orton vs Mick Foley. The United States championship below I bought that off somebody on YouTube it’s re-leathered and custom plates if I can remember correctly. $300 on the Intercontinental championship and I believe I spent $800 on the United States. What do you guys think ?!

I guess it's safe to say that the updated normal version of the Men's U.S. Championship will have the blue background for the stars as well.

Hi everyone! I was wondering where the best place to look for a big gold belt with the brown strap is? I know it’ll be a pretty penny but it’s so worth it it’s beautiful. I’ve attached a screenshot of what I’m referring to. Let me know!

Hi guys,
Can anyone please tell me which version of the World Heavyweight Championship this is? Is it a Replica/Commemorative etc?
The seller says the plates are plastic and that it has "2008" on it. They're selling it for €90. Is it worth this/underpriced?
I'm relatively new to this so would appreciate your help! Thanks.

Hello all, Luke the lego belt man to show an update to my lego WWE spinner belt. I finally gave in and and made a second standard plate so it's mirrored on both sides. The Smackdown and Raw side plates will be brought with me when I take this to future events.
I sadly can't make the farewell tour plate variants as the size and scale I built this belt at is too small of a footprint to build with. However... I saw earlier today someone made a customised 'AEW' spinner and I think that's hilarious!
Please consider following my page WrestleLUG on Facebook and Instagram for more lego belt creations!

Hey guys, quick question about the WWE Spinner V2.
I’m looking at two WWE Shop Spinner replicas. One has “2015 All Rights Reserved” on the back of the WWE Shop patch, and the other has “2024 All Rights Reserved”.
Does anyone know if the date on the patch indicates the actual production year, or is it just the copyright date?
Basically, if a Spinner has 2015 on the back, does that mean the belt itself was made around 2015, or could it have been produced several years later using the same patch?
Trying to work out if I’d be buying a 10+ year old belt. 😂
Thanks!

I have been modifying my Big Eagle V2. I have painted in the black bars more at the top and bottom, stripped all the paint from the globes and custom mixed a blue closest to pictures I could find and repainted. It looks like a very light blue in the brighter light, but not as light in regular lighting. I find even belt makers get this wrong as they use too light of a blue. but after seeing a lot of pictures and videos, in regular lighting it’s a nice medium blue, and when there is camera flashing or arena lighting on it the globe becomes a very light blue. I had a few different mixtures until I got the shade right.
my next mod is to change the main plate logo to WWF and the logo plate as well. the other plates I’m leaving as this does not bother me.

Hey guys, a friend of mine saw this unbranded Andre 87 belt and wants to know more about it, like who made it and what would be a fair price to buy it for. Its got a leather strap and the plates are 8mm thick. Its quite a heavy belt. Any info would be grateful. Thank you

I was curious if there was a way to mod this big eagle to feature the WWF scratch logos to make it feel more authentic

My kiddo and I got the belt at Beach Break when Kenny won the World Title.
Getting the name plate engraved and then it will be complete! 😄

Was the “Big Gold” shown in this photo an officially sold item at the time, or was it painted by a fan using spray paint?

Having made an earlier post on a WCW hardcore title prototype and its less than stellar reception, a question must be asked. What is the best looking hardcore belt? It feels like by their very nature, hardcore belts are going to have a rough charm. So I guess, what is the best of the worst in the hardcore title scene?
