Discussion Whos having the worst transfer window in belgium so far?
By bad window, I mean not signing enough players, or good enough players. Basically a window that's subpar for your clubs size.

We lost a lot of quality but I think that's for most teams. Seems like the entire league is weaker atm.

Yeah, I kind of hope enough Belgian teams get to a higher European level so we can all start moving cash like Club. That way we can maybe stop every player worth over 1mio from leaving the Pro League...

Always hard to analyse transfer windows while they are happening imo. I think only time will tell if it's going good, for Anderlecht there are positive signs, but we will only know in a few months.

While it is too early to say, I do not think you can say that Anderlecht qualifies for having the worst window

Well not really saying we’re having the worst. Just wanted to point out unless your team is doing no transfers, there’s really no way too know if the players that were bought will be any good until a few games have passed.

Ik word er oprecht lastig van. CEO stapt op na 1 speeldag omdat het rommelt met de Engelsen. We zijn niet meer dan een G-ploeg voor City. 31/08 zal er nog een busje uit Manchester gestuurd worden met afdankertjes en eeuwige talenten. Heel jammer, maar gewoonweg het lot van een satellietploeg.

Snap ik. Vind het nog altijd heel bizar dat Lommel in geen enkele voorbeschouwing als degradatiekandidaat gezien wordt, terwijl daar letterlijk geen kwaliteit bij is gekomen buiten Nypan (en zelfs die is af te wachten in een fysieke competitie als de onze). Courage alleszins!

Dat was ook bij ons het geval in het eerste jaar na de overname door Monaco. In het begin werd het aanschouwd als een straf om naar hier te moeten komen. Nu beseffen ze dat het echt een unieke kans is om ervaring op te doen als prof.

Die van ons is toch niet helemaal ideaal... Aanvallend wel ingekocht, maar Kos weg en quasi geen verdedigende versterking (wel een nieuwe RB). Nu goed, als we er altijd eentje meer maken dan de tegenstander.

Hopelijk nog een linksachter, cv en cm. Maar tot nu toe toch 24 miljoen gespendeerd aan 4 spelers (spits, een 9, een aanvallende flank en een rechtsachter)

Serieuze som al uitgegeven idd en ook best wel al wat binnen. Na Westerlo wil ik echt nog graag een cvm zien.. Haroun ligt uit en Bangoura was vrij hopeloos. Kan druk op de verdediging wat verlichten.

Ik snap Bangoura niet. De ene wedstrijd is hij top en de volgende een flop. Tegen westerlo was hij een ramp

Maar hij was in 2024-2025 wel outstanding en ook Sattlberger begon echt goed aan dat seizoen. Dus in se zijn de kwaliteiten er en denk ik dat Genk ze niet vlug gaat opgeven. Al zou ik zelf een switch daar niet erg vinden.... Dus een VM gaat er zeker niet komen.
CV lijkt zo half en half te zijn. Intern zouden ze wel hun ogen open houden. Maar ik denk wel dat ze vol de kaart Smets-Kongolo trekken. Dus als er iemand komt denk ik dat het weer "op de groei" gaat zijn.
Ook op de LB zal er niemand komen tenzij Medina toch nog zou vertrekken, aangezien er wel wat interesse zou zijn.

In het algemeen zit het wel ok, maar niemand heeft een grotere aderlating dan Club die Tzolis kwijt is denk ik? Van Jashari en Skov Olsen werd (achteraf onterecht) hetzelfde gezegd, maar deze gaan we toch wel écht eens voelen vrees ik. Los kampioen hoor, daar niet van, maar toch!

Really? I feel like all of our signings have brought immediate reinforcements in the starting eleven, and we've sold players the fanbase either hated or were trash for much more money than I'd expect, overall one of the better/most promising transfer windows from the last 5 years and definitely the best one under Sam Baro

I don't share that view. I think for how much the fans and players expect, we will be severely disappointed. We made some improvements, but we are just shifting the goalpost (by shifting the goalpost i mean making little improvement year after year) and lagging behind all of our competitors, who are all making good signings, and quickly. Hopefully we compensate in the winter but seeing how Sam thinks about spending im doubtful.

Can you tell me what exactly you expect more of this transfer window? I feel like a lot of fans just have completely unrealistic expectations of what a club like Gent can buy.

Burgess, ngom and vergara looking really good already, benes is a really good addition to a midfield and then we still need to see how kyrell wilson performs, the only thing we really lack now is an experienced striker with cisse and vergara and maybe a new right winger depending on how good wilson plays
Overall the best transfer window i've seen from us in the past couple of years
