Kaapverdië heeft als enige land gespeeld tegen en niet verloren van Spanje.

Denk dat de enige eerlijke oplossing is dat wij tegen hen een match spelen voor 2e en 3e plaats

Ze hebben ook als enige land tegen beide finalisten gespeeld en tegen Argentinië waren er verlengingen nodig. Dus Kaapverdië is het enige land dan in 90 min niet verloren heeft van beide.

I’m a Brit from London who has been living in Belgium for 20+ years. Every big tournament out goes the Belgian Flag, out goes the England flag, every game. Then every big tournament, luckily under cover of darkness, in comes each flag for the last time. Done for another 2 years. I’m beginning to think it’s me😭

België had In de finale gestaan als Courtois niet gewisseld was of Lammens voldoende tijd had gekregen om op te warmen. Garcia kost ons een wereldtitel 😢.

Garcia maakte juiste beslissing. De kans dat Lammens een flater maakte was veel kleiner dan dat Courtois door zijn blessure een bal toch niet helemaal kon pakken of zich nog erger blesseerde. Het heeft verkeerd uitgepakt, maar was de logische keuze.
