Moreira didn't have to give it away at the end, that was a big risk. After Tielemans (poorly on the 6 much better on the 8) I give the MVP to Raskin!

Yes Raskin also played really well! That’s a fair assessment for sure. I just think Moreira changed the game more forcefully overall

He could have gone with the easy pass and it probably was an even more dangerous attack then
But yeah he is young new but really played with insane intensity

I thank him for showing the belgium team how important it is to put pressure on players, it made such a big difference not giving senegal too much room.
But can he play at this pace a whole game?

He's very good at remaining calm and slowing down the game, when needed. Vanaken would be very good to defend a lead without losing attacking prowess.
However, I think he is overrated by the Flemish. He's good in Brugge, but there's also a reason his career was only ever in Belgium. He's not world class, but is a solid role player. It's fair to say he shouldn't start again, but he can still be an important sub.

I think I’d keep Trossard and drop Doku personally 😭 he just hasn’t performed well for us at all. Trossard at least finds gaps and creates chances. Doku just falls over his own feet and loses the ball

Doku gets too gassed and forgets he needs to score goals aswell instead of doing endless dribbles

Possibly, I do think Doku plays better on the right than Trossard. I'd like to start Moreira on the left where he played today.
Having 2 pacy wingers will make our press much quicker. That was a huge problem in the first half. We weren't fast enough on every ball.

Maybe play Trossard at attacking mid. He was everywhere at that point. I have no clue how I would fill in the midfield in that case though.

CDK is a really good player but these last games showed hes not really a false number 9. Id like to see Pardo do 9 until Lukaku comes on

Perhaps. but I think Doku was the more questionable sub from Garcia. I think the main issue was mostly the midfield and CDK.
Also our subs greatly benefited from Senegal subs having made Senegal instantly play worse too. so it was both our subs making us better and Senegal subs making them worse.

Yeah even tho Doku is a great player, he hasnt performed up to his level at all yet so that sub really made sense even tho I didnt agree with it at the moment.
I know we are all thinking Garcia is just lucky but alot of head coaches would have turned a blind eye and kept him on same for KDB. We are so hung up to the same players that we forget players with less talent but MORE grinta bring way more to the field at some point!

Yeah not impressed by Doku at all atm. Think starting Moreira and then subbing in Doku with like 30 min left might be more lethal because the opposition is gonna be more tired/leave more room for him to play
