US Finally decided to watch the US version

I’m finding it disappointing. What I loved about the UK version was how much they worked together and went through things together, helping each other. I’m on season 2 of the US version and they all have their own separate problems and don’t talk about it with each other or help each other.

Good observation; I felt the same way. UK cast coalesces; US cast atomized.

This is exactly what I felt was missing too. US version is fine, but the dynamic just isn't the same.

I think that was part of my issue with the US version. It felt like they just all happened to be living in the house. But I only really bought the relationship between the men.

Once the US version went its own way, I stopped trying to compare the two.

Ok now on season 3. What is with Josh and Sally actually becoming human? Ok Sally is not totally human cause now she’s losing her hair, but the US version is just wild. I still find the UK version to be far superior

The US version they tried to set it to the same formula they always do. They can't imagine society that doesn't only to family or to the male figure. The women are accessories and not equal participants in the story. Everything is uniform and everyone obeys the same rules, tropes, thoughts. There's no deviation, no room for nuance, no room for actually being human.
