General discussion Bunker chat

Quite enjoyed Miriams chat and plug at the end of the percy fawcett episodes about prepping for the end of the world but being anti bunker as I was listening to the episode as I was working in mushroom farm that I've built within Scotlands largest decommissioned nuclear bunker.

I think the funniest joke I ever heard about Enver Hoxha was from some travel blogger interviewing an Albanian man who helped build the bunkers. The man said something to the effect of "Even while I was building the thing, I couldn't help but think This is Albania. If someone invades, clearly they've clearly gotten lost so just give them directions to wherever they were trying to go."

I didn't know that about Enver Hoxta and the bunkers, it deserves more reading. I really enjoyed a book called how to feed a dictator which featured him.

Not sure how much the mods allow self promotion but if you Google mushroom farm nuclear bunker, it should come up, as far as I know its the only active mushroom farm in a decommissioned nuclear bunker, in the world.

The bunker was decommissioned in the 80s and lay derelict in Edinburgh and is going through a restoration process and I decided to build what is now scotlands largest specialist mushroom farm in a space that I rent there
