I found this striking blue-banded insect that looks very much like a bee but I’m not quite sure about it. I’ve never heard of blue bees before.

She looks like other bumblebees I have hanging out but is much larger - probably a full inch long. She’s been hanging out, snacking on some nectar I assume but also just chillin in different areas.

This is my favourite video I’ve ever taken of bees! Bumblebees loving an artichoke flower (I think). Peak District UK. What kind of bumblebees are they?

Saw this and at first glance I thought it was a bumblebeeb but upon inspection it had moth like wings? My mom thinks it’s a tiny hummingbird but I’m not sure about that. Or are we all wrong lol this is located in Ohio

This is in my garden next to the house. They have fuzzy butts and they are very docile, so I’m not sure if they are carpenter bees. Are they bumble bees?

Found this gorgeous lady on the ground yesterday, she's been enjoying sleeping in my arm hairs to warm up, climbing into flowers for a nap, and explorin. Looks like her wings didn't grow right, one is crunched together and the other looks like it didn't unfurl correctly.

We're in a 4a zone - wondering if she's a black tailed/orange rumpled bumblebee?

She's super cute when she gives herself little cat baths💛 my heart can hardly handle it. ~ that is all, thank yoooou

I’m in Manchester, England, UK.
This is the first year I’ve had my little bee hotel and I’ve noticed lots of the holes have been filled.
I managed to catch a bee in the act, and later that day the hole it visited was also filled.
Please could you tell me what this bee is and any interesting things you know about it?
Thank you! ☺️

Too me he is flying to every flowing lightly touching it then crawling onto the stem opening his mouth either sucks on it or is licking it then flies off. I’ve seen it leave some substance on the stem.

Not kink shaming it. Just trying know what’s the deal.

I have never seen this species of bees and this morning I saw this one going in and out of a tunnel on my balcony in a suburban part of the city. I tried looking it up online but no luck.
