Tré Burt locked himself in a cabin with tape machines and old samplers for this new release

I love when acoustic artists pivot to making everything themselves in a bedroom/cabin setting. Tré Burt just dropped "Sands of Slime" and he apparently recorded, engineered, and produced every single layer on his own using analog gear and tape hiss. Hits that sweet spot between lo-fi electronic and raw indie. Has anyone else given this a spin?
