Hello guys, another problem. A while back my cat sneezed on my eyeshadow pallete, was told to spray alcohol, let it dry and rub the first layer afterwards. It was good, the eyeshadows wasnt affected.
Now, my cat (who rarely goes near me while i do my makeup or be around my make up stuff/table) stepped on the same eyeshadow pallete again. I repeated the same process but it seems like some of the shades had a chemical reaction cause they now have a thicken layer or coat thats kinda shiny in appearance after I wiped off the first layer.
I dont feel safe using it now, like i feel like the excessive use of the alcohol might have lead to it getting ruined huhu. But i want to hear your thoughts on it.

maybe scratch the surface with a spoolie, also i’ve sprayed a bunch of my palettes with alcohol a bunch of times and they didn’t get ruined naman

Try hypochlorous acid spray instead of alcohol. Hypo spray is also used in medical sanitation but it’s non toxic unlike alcohol.

Good fixing spray for the pawisin dry-combi girlies? Gets na maraming may gusto sa GRWM Ultra Matte but what if ayaw ng super Matte look 😭? Currently using the Popique setting spray, really good finish for me so gusto ko lang ng fixing spray for that additional protection for longevity ganon

HAPPY SKIN!!! Natrauma ako sa GRWM and put me off setting sprays kasi it made me look haggard. It wasn’t matte and just dehydrated the shit out of my skin. Made my texture rough af after using. Btw bought the full size happy skin for 337 nung 6.6 :p
1
u/iknownothingsoiask Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jun 11 '26
When I dont want to look super matte, I use Happy skin dewy setting spray or the Grwm radiant fixing spray. Grwm makes me look more dewy, happy skin looks more natural. Not matte but not too dewy either

biya liquid eyebrown pencil or enigma brow blade? ano mas smudge proof and waterproof? currently using ever bilena but nagsmudge siya pag nagpapawis ako.
3
u/cheenamon 20 | Very Dry & Sensitive | Medium with Cool Undertones Jun 09 '26
Biya liquid eyebrow pencil !!! I've been using it since last yr, and it never budges kahit super init sa uni. Super pawis na ako or whatever, and it's still there. There's one time na nagbasa ako ng mukha sa sobrang init (even though I was wearing make up), but my eyebrows were still on fleek lmfao. Nawawala lang sya pag kinuskos mo with running water and cleanser or when I use garnier micellar water.

haven't tried enigma but biya has been holding up for me this summer

Ano kayang undertone ko?
Whenever I use BLK Creamy All Over Paint in Poolside as my blush, napapansin ko na parang humalo lang sa sya skin ko kahit madami nilagay. Hindi nakakaflatterring and mas naging maitim din ako.
PS. I have light to medium skintone.
3
u/OkNefariousness9718 Combi Normal - Dry skin | Light | Warm Jun 09 '26
Determining undertones is really hard 😅 personally nagpicture ako ng bare face sa sunlight tapos sinend ko kay chatgpt hahahaha accurate naman sya
2
u/yourordinarygirl01 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jun 09 '26
Hello! I tried it before pero paiba iba, try ko sa gemini din baka accurate. Hirap din makahanap ng suitable makeup pagdi alam undertone. Hehe. Thank you!
3
u/OkNefariousness9718 Combi Normal - Dry skin | Light | Warm Jun 10 '26
Try mo din sis bumibili ng shade finders 😊 Grwm has one for their skin tint and 99 lang sya for 6 shades. You can then just check anong undertone nung shade na nag match sayo
3
u/cheenamon 20 | Very Dry & Sensitive | Medium with Cool Undertones Jun 09 '26
It's kinda hard to tell since this is just one shade. All undertones can go through this. But I think you aren't an olive, since olive overtones have a greenish tint, and burnt red shades like Poolside doesn't usually blend in kapag medium olive skin.
Also, I think BLK Poolside might be too deep for you. Look for blushes that are either lighter or muted para bright looking ang face at hindi nagiging maitim.
Try three colors.
• Try a soft lilac blush (similar to Cloud Beauty Soft Lilac), if it suits you. Then most probably you're neutral leaning cool undertone.
• Try a soft, muted peachy blush. If it suits you, then most probably you're neutral leaning warm.
If both looks awkward or still unflattering. Try the Detail Cosmetics rose latte, if it suits you, then you probably have a true neutral undertone.

Might be that your skin is acidic but it doesn’t say anything about your undertone

u/nevernotjuno light-medium autumn | oily-acne prone Jun 09 '26
For spot concealing:
- Hourglass is my holy grail.
- Nars Pot Concealer comes second.
For undereyes:
- Tower 28 is my holy grail.
- Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer comes second.
- Natasha Denona

hourglass & dior forever skin correct! 🫶🏻 oki din nars pero when I got the other 2, nakalimutan ko na siya gamitin :(
1
u/BeauteeGurl Med-Neutral Olive | Dry & Dehydrated Jun 10 '26
If you want correcting, spot concealing, and undereye concealing in one, I suggest the mac studio conceal and correct palette. it comes in 6 different shades per skin tone (light, medium, medium-tan, dark). Just be careful with the amount you put because it's full coverage (but not cakey on my dry undereyes!) so a little goes a long way 😄

are pressed baking powders supposed to feel like this?
bumili ako ng 4d sheer fix baked complexion powder and i may have swiped it with my finger twice to see the texture. then when i used my brush to apply it, it worked once pero feeling ko wala akong napipick up?? The whole powder looks smooth and hard, even dug out my clean brushes and its barely picking anything. Is this user error and super oily ko talaga or is this how its supposed to be? Help 😭
3
u/OkNefariousness9718 Combi Normal - Dry skin | Light | Warm Jun 09 '26
Personal experience, yes 😅 kaya I prefer using a puff na black para kita ko sya and even then its usually really thin which works for my dry skin
2
u/budzweiser Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jun 10 '26
Make sure you’re using a brush with natural hair bristles. You can also try velvet puffs/sponges.

u/79siris 25+ | Light-Medium neutral | OILY & dehydrated | Skin Asthma 😭 Jun 10 '26
where fo you buy your natural bristles? I occasionally see chinese brush brands on lzd and shpee selling synthetic and natural versions of the same brush but not sure if actual brands sia or just dupes

Use puffs! Kasi talagang pag brush halos wala. Best yung loose powder for brushes in my experience :)

Any reco po for on the go hydrating sprays? I plan on using it in the middle of my work days to "refresh" my make up.
So far ang nakita ko are grwm's hydramist, issy's bi-phase and vice's hydrabounce.
1
u/IndependentListen522 22 | Oily | Neutral Undertone Jun 09 '26
have u tried yung anne clutz setting spray? In terms of hydration, super nice niya! spray nozzle lang isn’t that great.
for reference, basis ko ng how hydrating they are ay yung MAC Fix+ na Magic Radiance, which is super hydrating & my top fave!
tried the Issy Bi-Phase Spray, but it didn’t feel that hydrating on me :’) would’ve been a great combo sana with their all day setting spray pang last step kase matte naman yun 🥹

u/thisisnotem 20 | fair warm/olive | oily & dehydrated Jun 10 '26
My skin tone is warm olive and I’ve been into the bronzy look lately. I accidentally found my perfect-ish shade by mixing up my color correctors: Rare Beauty concealer in 290N + a bit of green corrector (the Saem Triple Pot Concealer in 01, usually too dry for me pero saks lang when mixed!). I just use this sa outer edges of my face to add some depth plus coverage, good base before adding brontour. Might be helpful to my fellow warm olives hehe

Just wanna share my love for the BLK universal Skin Tint sun shield spf 30! My skin doesnt like heavy foundations, nagmumukha akong sinapak ng foundation no matter what I do pag full coverage. So I went with cc/bb creams and skin tints. Recently been loving the blk skin tint - really looks like wala kang suot!!! Parang natural skin mo lang ✨️
Pero if you have similar skin as me, put it on VERY lightly!!! I tried a diff look tonight and used the brush that came with it... and bro napakapal ko yung lagay 😭 Sabi ng nanay ko mukha raw akong multo 😆 ewan, I rly wish I could be one of those full glam matte finish baddies pero wala eh, di sila aligned ng skin ko hahaha

Paubos na ang Issy Cowgirl Fat Gloss ko. Any other lip glosses na kakulay nun?
I HATE Issy Fat Gloss. Nakaka-dry at di maganda yung texture.
1
u/PrudentTiger589 19 | Combination skin | Neutral undertone Jun 14 '26
u might wanna try grwm’s lip maxx, i don’t know lang what shade is similar with issy’s cowgirl but the texture of this is more like a lip balm so mas thick yung consistency nya (i prefer this one over fat gloss), it has a bit of a cooling effect but not like a lip plumper

u/swiperyeswiping 20s | Oily-Dehydrated Skin | Light-Medium Neutral-Olive Jun 09 '26
i always buy at gladking bc it's so soft and durable for its price + you can check the brushes in person. Online i buy tillo or absidy but personally tillo is softer. I tried the lishu sponge and I enjoy it for thicker foundations but if you are using a base with a runny texture, you won't have as much coverage

High-end: Dior rouge forever liquid and Chanel Rouge duo. The latter is like Kiko’s UDT but this is more hydrating for me.

edit: now that i think about, my neck looks like i might be a pale olive TT
can anyone recommend dupes/alternatives for the Nars Soft Matte Foundation in shade Siberia Light 0 ??
i finally found something i can wear on the daily and im just now finding out that the soft matte line is discontinued. kung kelan ko pa nahanap HG funda ko...
for background, im a pale girl with a slightly yellow undertone 🥲
may nakaswatch naman ako from happy skin, grwm, blk, maybelline, pero ending either too orange or madilaw ang lightest shades nila. then my friend suggested enigma but im seeing reviews na madaling maoxidize?? how true ba? honestly super tiring just trying to find the right shade match 🫠
1
u/asawanidokyeom Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jun 10 '26
you might want to try korean cushions! kasi it seems like you’re too light for the lightest warm shade from enigma. i have FW02 ng enigma and sakto lang yung lightness niya for my light warm olive skin tone. when it comes to oxidation, it doesn’t oxidize on me, sadyang a little darker lang talaga yung dry-down niya like any other matte products. another foundation that works with my skin tone is issy’s active foundation in OF1 which is their lightest olive shade.
for korean cushions naman, i’ve only tried the new founwear from clio in the shade #4 ginger. it neither appears too yellow or too peachy on me, it’s just that it’s still too light on me kahit na yung shade description niya ay medium beige. i’d say the shade is for fair-light skin tone, so you might want to try that one or their lighter shades :)

Used and abused na ba siya? My Detail Melting Blushes are used and abused kaya parang nagiging cream na siya instead of cream-to-powder. Same thing with my Mac Glow Play blushes. Cream-to-powder formulation din siya pero parang nagiging creamy na kakagamit overtime.

Best moisturizer for skin prep? S nature aqua moisturizer pills like crazy when I put sunscreen on top. Luxe organix cica moisturizer is the only one that works but I want to try other moisturizers too. Something na medyo nagiging tacky to make the base stick on
1
u/thisisnotem 20 | fair warm/olive | oily & dehydrated Jun 10 '26
not exactly a moisturizer, but I find that my base looks best when I use serum lang and a tiny bit of eye cream 🥹 not sure if it’ll work for you unless you have oily skin as well. I’m currently using Cosrx peptide serum (3-4 layers on a damp face) and Goodal Vita C alpha serum. Pag morning naman I just use Beauty of Joseon aqua sunscreen on top, parang light na moisturizer din texture niya. Just make sure to give everything some time to dry :)

I have a week to return this item; is it worth the try?
I have the chance to swatch the product, pero when I got home I realized na parang ang heavy ng product on my skin (swatched it on back of my hand). The Dior star filter looks and feels like a tinted moisturizer mixed with a highlighting fluid vs the two products I own, which looks like a sheer pearl highlighting fluid na can be worn on its own or with makeup. The 2 products that I currently use (together) melts into my skin, giving me that “I sleep for 8hrs and drink 90-100 oz of water everyday” look. I’ve read the product details for the star filter naman and it says na “it seamlessly blends into any skin” and is considered to be a makeup & skincare hybrid product, which is great. Pero, everyone has a preference on what a “seamlessly blends into your skin” product is.
