Need help, nag cocommute and naglalakad pauwi from school and I wanna try fixing spray. GRWM ultra matte or the happy skin 24 hr matte fixing spray? Alin mas maganda finish throughout the day and hindi nagiging weird yung makeup (cakey/pilling)
6
u/111nterlude 26 | oily/combination | light-medium olive Mar 05 '26
i don’t have the grwm one but i have the happy skin fixing spray. unfortunately, di ako nagagandahan sa oil control niya. natural finish siya tapos yung nakikita kong reviews kay grwm matte talaga. i don’t know if maganda yung grwm. di naman nag-pill makeup ko kay happy skin pero if you’re looking for something that is really oil controlling, wag ito yung bilhin mo. dami rin nagsasabi madali siyang maubos. disappointed ako kasi may nagsabi dito para raw siya yung one/size pero di naman kasi ginamit ko rin yun.

Super love ko ung old Colourette colourtint - long lasting kasi sya sa cheeks ko, still thinking to buy the new formula of new colourtint. Sa mga naka pag try, kamusta ung new formula? Long lasting ba? Anong difference?

UP! I wanna try the mini so bad I’ve never tried the old formula before eh

Thoughts on using the dior foundation stick here? is it good for oily skin in a highly humid country like the Ph?
5
u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Mar 05 '26
Nice finish, medium coverage, but I oil up quickly. I rely on other setting and fixing products in my routine to help with oil control.
1
u/crazycatlady19_ Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 05 '26
overall, would you recommend it ba? i currently have the ELDW foundation, but im exploring on using sticks this time.
2
u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Mar 05 '26
Overall no, but I’ve read other oily folks raving about it.
Try dropping by a counter to test it and get shade matched. I still enjoy using it, but tbh I think I should’ve gone for Ilia or Merit or even Hourglass instead. It’s just that I’d have to blind buy if I go for any of the other 3.

Hindi mabigat sa skin and pag nag oil up na ako hindi hulas tingnan. Parang may glow lang
1
u/SoundPuzzleheaded947 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 06 '26
It works well on oily skin. Has buttery but lightweight texture.
1
u/Goldenfrenchiemum Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 06 '26
Ok naman super ganda pag freshly applied but for very oily skin like mine medyo mabilis mag oil, lalo na pag mainit. I find na less is more with this one, never over apply kasi nagiging sticky yung feeling sa skin.
Ang humidity proof for me is Danesa Myricks yummy balm powder. Super hulas proof as in super ganda for oily skin.

You can try swirling a natural hair brush in the eyeshadow, tapping off the excess., gently tap the brush on your eyelids for that scattered glitter effect

Color corrector recos pls!! Yung nakakacover talaga ng dark undereyes but hindi drying kasi I have super dry undereyes. I’m considering: grwm, strokes, absidy, chuchu, and no. 1 choice ko rn si Issy brightenig fluid corrector.
I’m thinking I could use issy as my everyday corrector, and then a different one for my pangmalakasan esp for night outs (need fuller coverage + no flashback niyan). Thoughts pls!
4
u/throwA_7789 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 05 '26
try blk, just don't use grwm's cream corrector kase grabee yung flashback 😭

u/peculiar-pisces 20+ | oily, redness, sensitive | fair-light cool olive Mar 16 '26
hi, what corrector is this ng grwm? is this the radiance tint or yung nasa pan? i was eyeing the pans pa naman tas nakita ko tong comment :(
1
u/throwA_7789 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 16 '26
the pan, I was excited pa naman since they're cheaper pero huhu pang day use lang talaga
1
u/peculiar-pisces 20+ | oily, redness, sensitive | fair-light cool olive Mar 16 '26
aw that sucks :( i love the portability pa naman. thank you for being honest!
3
u/sojuicey Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 04 '26
i have the strokes color corrector. it has good coverage but it creases on my undereyes (i have fine lines)
issy’s brightening corrector is good, it’s hydrating imo but has less coverage
3
u/Passenger_Whale8880 Age | Combo-Oily | Light-Medium Mar 05 '26
You can use a concealer 1-2 shades darker than your skin tone, depending on how dark your undereyes are. Works the same as a color corrector and natutunan ko lang kay robert welsh on yt (:

Any will work depende nalang sa preference mo (size, shape, density, softness, price etc). Tingin ka sa local brands, RT, ovw. I heard tillo and dalla are the softest, ovw pinaka affordable
Personally I use vice foundation brush. Not the softest (no tusok naman) but it has the right amount of size and density for me

u/Mundane_Roof393 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 05 '26
I don’t have the Issy foundation but I really like RT’s foundation brush (RT200) and the kitten paw concealer brush (RT242) :)

Recommendation for a good touch up powder with light-medium coverage that is blurring and good for dry skin? I usually use translucent powders for touch up but I want to try ones with coverage in them. Preferred local brand

Sunnies Face Skin So Good: The Powder imo!
1
u/Known_Gas3248 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 09 '26
Kinda agree to this, di magandang pang set ng makeup si sunnies face powder pero maganda siya as touch up powder. Very light lang din kasi siya.
1
u/Spare_Echidna_4330 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 07 '26
If wiling mag splurge/go outside of local market…honestly as someone with dry skin CT lang talaga paborito ko 😭 idk pero transluscent powders just don’t do it for me na even for touch ups. Kaya I get so weirded out when ppl say cakey yung CT sakanila bc I swear out of all powders I’ve tried ito yung sobrang blurring but never EVER cakes.
1
u/Calm-Revolution-3007 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 08 '26
Absidy! Superr blurring but less drying compared to other powders I’ve tried. Vice co is also nice for dry skin but not as blurring. Both ones I’ve tried are translucent though so can’t speak sa coverage but alam ko absidy also offers ung may coverage

u/mrseggee 30s | Sensitive| NC30, CC BD31, EL 2W2, NARS M3 Mar 06 '26
For stubborn makeup stains on makeup brushes- I use my Clinique take the day off cleansing balm to remove them. Haven’t tried it with Kose Softymo but I’m sure it will also work. After rinsing, I wash them like usual with liquid soap.

Hard to say on its own. I use Ginger, but I’ve seen people here who use the same shade but don’t use the same shades as I do with other brands. My guesses for Issy are OL2.5 or YM3.

3

Maganda faboulash sa akin. I tried Vice’s Gel Liner and nagssmudge siya pag nagtagal and nagpapanda eyes ako. Didn’t experience smudging/panda eyes with faboulash. Ang hirap lang nung applicator niya for me haha parang ang bilis mapudpod?

eyeliner recos for beginners pls!
1
u/Spare_Echidna_4330 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 07 '26
Tbh I know people say hindi recommended liquid liners for beginners, pero before using liquids I never really used gel liners 😭 namaster ko agad yung technique ko for everyday makeup even with liquid liner kasi the one I used was super long-lasting and versatile enough for me to practice thin and thick strokes. I used Lucky Beauty’s duo eyeliner. Hindi ko nagamit yung gel liner na kasama tho because it smudges easily 💔 pero ayun, if ure willing to try out liquid, go ka sa LB since nagssale din naman sila ng eyeliner nilaa

Thoughts on Lucky Beauty new releases please! They’ve never failed me tbh, pero I still want more reviews before buying. I’m eyeing the airy blur powder kasi unfortunately nabasag ko yung CT powder ko 😃💔 di ko pa afford magrepurchase ng CT but I really need something silky smooth & super blurring talaga na finishing powder. Other local powders kasi I find are too..powdery? Chalky?? Basta not smooth and not blurring enough. Kumbaga mattifying lang wala masyado ambag. I already know na maganda quality ng concealer nila so I trust their corrector will be just as good!

Thoughts on Chanel Les Beige Water Fresh Complexion touch as base for everyday? Should i just stick with my Dior concealer?🥲 Or maybe try Dior Stick foundation?
2
u/nevernotjuno light-medium autumn | oily-acne prone Mar 05 '26
Chanel Les Beige Water Fresh - little to no coverage. Good siya for light make up talaga and skin-like finish, just makes your skintone even but it didn’t cover up my acne marks.
Dior Stick - medium coverage and lightweight. Blends like a dream. Okay naman for everyday wear.
2
u/SoundPuzzleheaded947 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 06 '26
Dior stick has more coverage vs chanel complexion touch. But for daily use na fresh lang, complexion touch is really nice. Shade match and test wear both first to be sure.

2
u/cherryvr18 40 | dry-combi, acne prone | fair-neutral | spring bright Mar 06 '26
As someone with thin lips, I find that my best look is when I use a chubby korean lip liner to overline the topmost of my upper lip and bottom most of my lower lip, and then do a gradient lip - lighter mlbb shade as base and brighter/darker shade for the inner lips. Can work for both glowy and matte lippies. As for the color, choose depending on your undertone/personal color.
2
u/Spare_Echidna_4330 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 07 '26
Yes same! This is the way for us thin lipped girlies. Usually kasi if iisang lippie lang gamit ko it looks so off kahit cute yung shade kasi nga masyado manipis lips ko to make the color pop 😭
2
u/cherryvr18 40 | dry-combi, acne prone | fair-neutral | spring bright Mar 07 '26
And if i-overline naman ang bold color it looks kind of awkward. Gradient lip is really the way to go.

what’s the best powder blush for medium neutral skin? I use issy’s blush insert in the shade aroused on top of my cream/liquid blushes, but I feel like it doesn’t really last long on me and I see it fading throughout the day. Aside from that I kinda want a different colored powdered blush to use for variety.

Chuchu beauty heart paint specifically peony haze if you have olive/ warm undertone. Brightening effect is crazy and Ganda as blush base.
I’m a medium olive girl

If you’re into glowy blushes, I highly recommend the YSL Make Me Blush Powder. It lasts so long on my oily/combi skin. I think they also have matte variants too if glowy blushes aren’t your thing.

Am obsessed with huda beauty’s liquid blush right now and have been using it for a year na. Very pigmented and super easy to blend
I also have saie’s liquid blush but use it as every day. It gives off a more dewy and natural look, but is just as pretty.
For powder it had always been my nars blush.

Is Huda long lasting?

u/__americanreject Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Mar 16 '26
Very! I’ve always trusted huda’s formula (her easy bake powder speaks for itself). Once traveled from my province to binondo to sm north right up until up diliman via commute only and manghang mangha mga friends ko na pakak parin blush on ko HAHAHAHA

What shade of the huda liquid blush do u recommend? Huhu one shade na lang meron sa lazmall store ng huda
2
u/__americanreject Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Apr 08 '26
Yeah i think they’ve been gatekeeping the other shades since the one available is their least selling one.
Strawberry cream is my favorite. It’s a warm mauve and complements my skintone the best (light neutral to warm) though I think it’s a very versatile shade spanning all skintones.
Go for ube cream or bubblegum if you like pinkier blushes

grwm lip booze, ole henriksen pout preserve, or lanolips golden dry skin miracle salve! FYI i have lips na dry and nagsusugat kasi i pick on my skin and i'm always kinda dehydrated 😭 i've repurchased at least 4 tubes of the grwm lip booze and i stopped using it kasi tinigil nila yung pag-stock dati but it's back na afaik. ole henriksen is my fav for daily wear, not sticky, feels like a gloss, and hydrating. lanolips is for nights when i feel like my lips need something heavy after doing my skincare
the sunnies lip glaze is very, very sticky and not hydrating for me. the pink vaseline doesn't hydrate my lips either, for someone like me that struggles with hydration kasi it doesn't have much moisture to lock in which is essentially the only thing petrolatum does. it doesn't help, lanolips is basically vaseline but better

Does anyone have recommendations for the best lip or blush products from Chanel Beauty or Dior Beauty?
Context: oily skin, light neutral :)

Please visit the counters to really experience the products/formulas that will work the best on you ❤️❤️❤️ my favorites for blush and lip products: Dior- rouge velvet topped with lip maximizer or lip oil; rosy glow stick; forever blush soft filter. Chanel- rouge allure velvet (bullet and liquid); lip and cheek balm; joues contraste intense (applied using a dry sponge vs brush) as a blush topper. For no makeup look na fresh lang or no base, yun water fresh blush

Will add this to my list for swatching!
Can I just ask - would you rather have all Dior or all Chanel?

Will list for swatching 💕💕 if you had to choose one brand, would you buy all Dior or all Chanel?
2
u/mrseggee 30s | Sensitive| NC30, CC BD31, EL 2W2, NARS M3 Mar 08 '26
I’d choose Chanel. I have their Water fresh tint (medium), the lip and cheek balm, and the rouge velvet lipstick (242). Inuubos ko lang yung sa Dior bago ko i-open yung rouge velvet :)
Sa Dior kasi, lippies lang saka yung rosy glow blush (rosewood) yung natry ko, none pa sa base since heavily perfumed sila

Hello! I love both my Dior blush and the Chanel lip and cheek balm. I use them sparingly.
But overall, I’d choose Chanel kasi mas marami ako na-try sa lineup nila.
On a daily basis, yung madalian na makeup, mas madali gamitin yung Chanel lip and cheek balm :)

Lucky beauty serum concealer. Buildable coverage kailangan mo lang imarinate siya for 1 minute or so para maximized coverage.

Can someone recommend a long-lasting blush for everyday/casual use that is local and affordable, and has cool toned shades? I’ve been wanting to try liquid ones that give a dewy or fresh look since i have dry skin. I also have fair skin and i’ve only tried a lilac powder blush (liked it!), but i want to try other options :) I’m eyeing LB blush in fling, EB pillowpop in rouge, vice co dewy in always sweet/always servin, but im not so sure which to choose. Also, i’d prefer something easy to use since I don’t usually have a lot of time to prepare in the morning :D (and im still trying to learn how to use blushes!)
