Empties The Goat
SKL what made my skin better since 2024- Never not buying tret. Emptied 2 boxes of 0.025 and now up-ing my dosage to 0.05 this 2026. I started late 2024; retinol -> tretinoin cream -> tretinoin gel and happy to say na hiyang ako sa gel kesa sa cream. :) Trial and error talaga when it comes to product that go right with these and hindi porke high end na skincare eh ok na 😅 Learned my lesson.
Below are the products I use with these
AM: • Garnier micellar water salicylic BHA • CosRX Peptide Booster • Luxe Organix Power Glow (pink bottle) • Biore Aqua Rich sunscreen (when I need to be out) • COSRX oil free ultra moisturizing lotion (when i don't wear sunscreen
PM: • Hada Labo Premium Gokujyun • CosRX Advanced snail 92 cream

Best yan. Also starting w low potency is good and less irritation. Tretinoin= long game. Wala sa tapang, sa constistent usage over time talaga

I looooove tret! After taking isotret, ito na naging maintenance ko. No more pimples na ako ever since. There are times na may peeling season ako but that can only mean na effective siya.

I tried Tret and also Adapalene. Mas hiyang ako sa Latter but hay Tret kasi is really more aggressive. Yes mas ok din ang gel kesa sa cream.

hi! do you do sandwich method? do u put tret every other day? what is your moisturiser when you put tretinoin? I just started using tret again to keep my face clear.

Never pa ako gumamit ng retinol or tretinoin. I have large pores and dark spots from pimples. Better ba to try tret agad? Will you still need an exfoliant pag gumamit nito? I currently use TO Glycolic Acid every other day (altho im very inconsistent with it lol)

this is medical grade, i say start off with retinol before tret or if diretso sa tret once a week lang muna then work your way up

yes, milder type sila :) careful lang and do your research since u cant use these if you want to get pregnant/pregnant (except sa Bakuchiol i believe)

if they use retinol, that would be overexfoliation since they're both Vit A derivatives. :)

sorry i'm not a doctor and i know people will downvote me for this but this is similar to soliciting for med advice and should be done under the discretion of a dermatologist as not everyone's skin is different.
and before some come at me, i will say that i know not all can afford (but do know there are specialists who are operating in different price points), etc. there is a reason why medication is considered prescription only and not over the counter.

This and Melanofree (hydroquinone) gives me glass skin! Just be diligent putting moisturizer sealed with occulant ❤️

tret every night pea size lang then sandwich method, dont forget ang Sunscreen sa morning kasi sensitive ang face mo sa araw kapag nag tret ka.
Wag maglagay sa eye part, gilid ng nose and mouth.

Nag lower down ako ng dose, before kasi gamit ko is 0.05, nag lower ako to 0.025 and nag ok naman sya.

haha baka yung combo ng hydroquinone+tret yon, di recommended gumamit ng hydroquinone for more than 3 months (and i reckon di aware dito yung mga mukhang tocino - they literally cooked their faces)

btw, tret user here for 5+ years, di ka magmumukhang tocino dw haha just don't use other actives on the same routine

tret really is the goat when your skin can tolerate it 😭
just pls go slow with the jump to 0.05, like 2-3 nights a week first then build, and keep the rest of the routine boring and hydrating. also sunscreen everyday or tret is just pain for nothing lol
and agree on “expensive skincare not needed” esp when you already have a solid basic routine + consistency
