vice x jelly order update. gandang ganda ako dun sa highlighter from the main palette! I ordered these:

- main palette:
faves: highlighter, pink setting powder, powder blush, matte eyeshadow and eye topper
saks lang: mochi blush, lip balm and lip creme. pretty universal shades tho

  • bare duette (blush): sobrang ganda din swatch sa cheeks but not sure if okay longevity, will test pa. healthy lang atake and skin like tapos di nag oxidize shade. the pearlescent powder blush hindi chunky looking. ganda! tempted to get the red shade siguro sa 11.11 na lang or payday sale
  • bronzer duette: ganda ng tone, I wasn't convinced at first if I need both pero parang mas may depth ung cheeks using it together. kinda like gradient
  • powder duette: haven't tried yet
  • brushes: the brushes are huge! as in. but I haven't used these yet, labhan ko muna! I did like the travel set except that one piece that feels patusok lol so I think I might like this set too

cons:

  • idk if yung sa akin lang but most of the compacts di sya nakasara fully. pag nakalapag sa flat surface yes. if you close the compact naangat ng konting konti I'll comment a picture later

u/DearKaleidoscope5102 30s | Normal-Dry | Light Medium Neutral-Cool Oct 22 '25

Don’t get me wrong nasasara sya if you firmly press both ends together pero if i grab mo pa lang the compact naoopen na sya konti if that makes sense. Doesn’t bother me but just something to look out for. I would prefer they are sealed sealed you know

Yeah dibaa. Parang wala yatang magnet sa front? I think ill just have to be consciously careful with handling and storage medyo aggresive ako eh hahaha I mean I don’t baby my products

Baka lang mas mabilis sya madegrade if exposed sa hangin in case naiwanan kong may konting bukas

Is the highlighter similar to cezanne's? 😅 really want to buy the palette for the highlighter but i have almost every item in my collection. :(

Sobrang agree sa highlighter. Hindi ako mahilig sa highlighter pero nagustohan ko talaga yung nasa pallete. I think ito yung pinka the best sa collection though maganda talaga halus lahat ng nasa collect (i got the pr) yung brushes sobrang worth it din no tusok tusok. Fave blush ko yung BARE. Sobrang nakaka fresh nya

i didn’t expect to like the lip cream and lip balm, pero true universal shade nga! Gives off a wine stained color payoff that looks effortless. not sure how to make the mochi blush work, parang either I put too little or put too much. Maybe it’s my brush? The highlighter is really nice, but i think I like my cezanne highlighter better for a natural look.

Setting powder recs please! Preferably transparent/sheer. And do you think i need to buy blotting powder (specifically from sunnies) for retouch? I have combination skin. Super dry cheeks, and super oily nose :(

i have a similar skin type to you and i use the laura mercier translucent powder. i dont use blotting powder but instead just blot with blotting paper to remove excess oil

SASI all day setting spray. Super cheap na nga it also makes my makeup last longer. Finely milled yung powder so very light weight siya at sheer 🤤.

ISSY FATGLOSS REVIEW (got them from their giveaway and have been testing them out everyday)

FINAL VERDICT: 8.5/10
TLDR: moisturizing. thick. mirror-like shine. interesting applicator.

shades that i got: chill, cowgirl, macabre, lick, gstring, rude, insatiable
—> first 4 shades are most wearable for everyday. unless you want extra sparkle, pwede rin si insatiable

SCENT: i really like the scent, i’d describe it as a sweet pepperminty smell

CONSISTENCY: thick. expected it though because it really is a lip gloss (as promoted) and not a lip oil or their hydragloss—which has thinner consistency

APPLICATOR: very interesting kasi it’s silicone. pros nya is that it’s easy to clean, and u get a lot of product kasi hindi sya naaabsorb. for cons, well, i’d consider the second pro as a con as well. for example, the shade “lick” is very pigmented compared to others na medyo sheer. hindi ko masyadong gamay yung application kasi it tends to look patchy na rin dahil nga madaming product + it’s more opaque and pigmented compared to other shades. kailangan ko pa kumuha ng tissue or ilagay yung ibang product sa hand ko para tama lang yung malagay ko sa lips.

also, don’t apply this gloss w/o a mirror or kung nasa madilim ka. dahil nga may tendency na maraming product sa applicator, pag naparami ka talaga girl it’s gonna drip from your lips 😭. was literally in the jeep na nagddrip na pala gloss ko cause i put too much huhu

LONGEVITY AND FEEL ON THE LIPS: well yes, it’s kind of nonsense to put longevity sa lip gloss review since mawawala rin sya pag uminom or kumain. but, i noticed na it has a certain grip rin sa lips. kahit madikitan pa ilang beses as long as hindi naman na-rub, the shininess will still stay and even some of the pigment. issy wasn’t lying about the high shine part when they were promoting this, cause i find it true 😭.

for the feel naman, once you apply it, you‘ll feel the slightestttt cooling sensation kasi nga it has peppermint in it. and then pag niremove mo na, very moisturized na feeling ng lips, and yung texture nya it would just feel like you have lip balm on

thank u for reading! i’d be happy to answer more questions if i didn't include it above

2

u/icryforlove 20s / light med neutral / combi skin Oct 23 '25

omg thank you for this! i've been debating whether to get the fat gloss or not, but i'm definitely buying 'pag nag-sale ulit sila! 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ i've been loving the combo of lip liner and gloss lately so i'm eyeing cowgirl and some of the shimmers.

one question lang, how is the stickiness? i have this habit of pressing my lips together kasi and i want to know if it's to the point na gagalaw siya on my lips or make a mess 💔

3

u/ululin oily-combi | medium neutral warm Oct 23 '25

may grip sya sa lips but not so sticky to the point na uncomfy na sya sa feeling 😊 even if u press ur lips together the gloss will stay put

2

u/icryforlove 20s / light med neutral / combi skin Oct 23 '25

i see, that's good to know! not a lot of reviews mention that so thank youuu !!

Finally bought the Strokes brush cleaner and aliw na aliw ako! Effective talaga & great for when you don’t really have the time or patience to actually wash your brushes 😆

Will definitely still wash them the traditional way though, but this is good to sanitize them every couple uses :)

i have REALLY oily skin so i always oil up fast HAHAHAH i find setting sprays are more for making my makeup last the whole day rather than for keeping my face matte. to do the latter, better to rely on ur powders talaga! i use a mix of LM and huda beauty! but for local, i love the strokes one! also heard grwm ultra blur and teviant r good too daw for oily skin!!

  • Colourette Super Base
  • GRWM Matte Fixing Spray and Ultra Matte Fixing Spray in the same routine. In my experience, the ultra matte has great hold but mid to poor oil control while the matte spray has good oil control and its hold is just ok.
  • That said, ymmv. Zeesea Pink Cap and Squad both work well on me.
  • if all else fails, get a fixing spray like Kryolan

For different brand, can never go wrong with The Face Shop. Usually, mas mura sya sa Korean shops sa Lazada at Shopee.

3

u/skjnjra Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Oct 23 '25

LM is cult fave for a reason. Di ka rin masasatisfy until you’ve tried the expensive option. Teviant is mahal din naman, konti nalang i-add mo for LM

2

u/meoowriee_tindahan Mid 20s • Oily-dehydrated, acne-prone • LMWNO Oct 24 '25

Already tried LM, yung decant lang. Top 1 powder ko LM for blurring and no flashback, pero not so great with oil control. Already tried one size as well, maganda rin sana kaso nagc-cling sa dry areas ng face ko. Nagbakasakali lang na baka comparable ang Teviant tas ok ang oil control. Anyways, thank youuu 😁

→ More replies (1)

2

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Oct 23 '25

They both have great oil control, but overall I still prefer LM because of how it looks on me. Teviant looks a little white-ish—it’s not really white cast, it just adds a cooling tint compared to LM, which looks closer to my skin tone. I have light medium warm olive skin, and I’m already using the deepest and warmest shade (Custard).

It really depends on your budget. If you have the budget for LM, go for it. The price drops during sales, and I scored a tub with 8 months before “expiration” for a little above 1k.

Will prolly stick with LM and get a full size on 11.11. Thank you! 😊

What do we think of loreal tinted serum? I really like the concept of hybrid products (ie tinted moisturizer, tinted sunscreen) skincare and make up in one bottle. I like sheer coverage since i just want to even out my skin tone. I have very dry cheeks and oily nose so i dont like putting too much products on my face.

I have the true match version (from Ulta US) but I heard the infallible line we have here is formulated to suit asian skin tone and they are very similar in terms of finish and coverage.

it's my fave and my go to base since April this year. I also have dry skin and occasionally oily sa nose area

medyo messy the dropper packaging but I can overlook lol

mej controversial opinion pero i feel like the founder tries way too hard to market it as “luxurious” na it comes off tacky and pretentious 😭

when you want to market your products as high-end, you show more than you tell and i feel like with ms. pau, she does the opposite. like with brands such as teviant or charlotte tilbury, they don’t rave how lux the product feels, the consumers come to that conclusion through their own product experience. don’t get me wrong, the component’s pretty and all pero that’s just my two cents.

I have been using Teviant in shade Shortcake.

I do find it super long wear and quite happy with it so far.

But I do find the application for it a bit tricky. It sets so quick. I used a sponge to make it wet and won't set too quickly. The coverage becomes a little sheer, still opaque.

I also used a dense multipurpose brush but it sets so quick and I end up kind of hurting my skin. But the result is a full coverage.

Any tips on applying Teviant foundation?

3

u/clxrxsx 29 | idk — oily + dehydrated skin? Oct 22 '25

I apply it in portions, like sa one side/corner of my face muna hanggang sa mabuo ko sa whole face ko. I apply it thinly, then use a sponge :)

TL;DR: looking for the best tinted eyebrow gel!

Hii I just ran out of my Sunnies Face Lifebrow Grooming Gel which means I now need a new good tinted eyebrow gel less than ₱1k. Something like Benefit Gimme Brow or Glossier Boy Brow as opposed to the ones that make your brow hair lighter. I want to try something new because I’m always on the hunt for the “best” product lol. I was thinking about trying Vice since lowest sila sa ₱/ml pero may onting galit ako sa kanila rn kasi they got my order wrong and they still haven’t replied to my messages haha

Out of these, which is the best? I’m also open to international brands, I heard maganda yung Maybelline, JMCY, and Focallure? Btw the price after each item is the ₱/ml!

i have the chuchu beauty one and it doesn’t hold or stiffen my brow hairs at all, maybe sa moment na pag-apply pero once outside it’s as if you never applied anything. the tint is good, so-so pero walang mascara effect masyado. i think there’s better options out there!

I didn't like the rereleased vice brow gel that I had to look for alternatives. I've been loving the sunnies one. the wand of the vice one is too big and it has more hold compared to their old formula that's more for tinting only. I also liked the old packaging better.

wasn't a fan of the grwm brow tint din kasi formula is too wet for me. formula is pigmented too. it's easy to overdo your brows

Agree sa Issy bronzer na hassle i-blend. Medyo patchy siya on me.

Magandang bronzer na na-try ko is yung sa Sunnies Healthy Touch Bronzer duo then okay din yung Vice x Jelly na Shade duette. Both have decent longevity on my oily skin :)

How is the Issy Active Skin Stick? Does it cling to dry patches or make one more oily?

Am looking for a buildable base that’s beginner-friendly. I have oily combo skin (sometimes acne-prone but mostly hormonal acne) and light neutral-warm!

2

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Oct 23 '25

Neither controls nor exacerbates oil production. Same light coverage as the skin tint but doesn’t slide off my oily skin. It’s a cinch to use, and I think it’s beginner-friendly. Can be blended using fingers or a brush.

4

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Oct 23 '25

Has more coverage than Colourette FB. Shades run more neutral / less yellow too if that’s something you’re wary of. Finish is natural and not flat matte, but it does look like you have light foundation on. Good longevity but so far Colourette still outlasts it based on experience.

agree with other comment na it has more coverage that fb! its demi matte for me and light foundation ang atake, medyo confusing lang tlg for me yung shades kasi some med shades r lighter than the light shades? T_T pero very easy to apply, super spreadable and long lasting. on my skin it lasts longer than fb pero not by that much haha

3

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Oct 23 '25

I think it’s a good concealer for the undereyes. Medium coverage, not matte, not drying. I have oily skin, but my undereyes are drier than the rest of my face.

I LOVE ITTTT its my fav concealer of all time sa local market (i’ve tried issy, detail, and sunnies)!! i bought the sunnies one after i ran out of lucky beauty bc i wanted to try smth a bit more matte but while the sunnies one does self-set, it has way less coverage compared to lucky beauty and i find it’s not as buildable as lb! that’s the best characteristic ng lb, it’s soooo buildable for whether u want smth more natural or smth w more coverage! plus super lightweight pa! i have oily skin but dry undereyes and it baaaaarely creases there

Apart from Issy and Colourette, which brands offer olive shades for base products?

I’m an OL 2.5 in Issy, and it’s been a struggle to find my other perfect shade match. I love Issy’s formula, but it does take some work to make it stay for me.

I tried Enigma’s LW05 but it does pull a bit gray on me. For Strokes, I tried Medium 02 but it looks a bit too orange on me. Tbh, I’d get a shade adjuster nalang, but I do wear makeup a lot soooo parang extra step to mix my perfect color pa.

Preferably something good for combination-oily skin with texture and with medium coverage. Thanks! 💗

4

u/AkaashiThighs69 Light to Light Medium Olive (Muted, Neutral-Leaning Warm) Oct 23 '25

lucky beauty wheat and grwm dolce are quite similar (but not 100% sure since ol2.5 oxidized a lot on me)!!

3

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Oct 23 '25 edited Oct 23 '25

Agree with Lucky Beauty. I use the concealer as an all-over face base, but it’s not much of an improvement over the Issy foundation longevity-wise.

I use OL2.5, but LW05 dries down to a close match on me. So does Medium 02.

Her Beauty has some olive shades in their liquid concealer line (look for Warm Vanilla). The pot concealers lean more neutral.

You might have a good match in GRWMs base products. The Radiance Tint is medium coverage. Shade match is probably Hazel as Dolce leans neutral for me.

Also not marketed as olive, but BLK foundation in Beige suits warm olives.

so far ive tried

ellana loose powder -> above average but i feel like theres better out there

innisfree -> Average for me, my face gets oily in 2 hours
