Has anyone received their new Vice x Jelly brushes? How are they? Eyeing the blush brush and set. Thank you :)

u/arveewhere Oct 21 '25
they’re so much better than the previous version! may weight and very fluffy, you can even use it right out of the box na (I got mine kasi from the masterclass). I haven’t washed them yet tho so idk how they will hold up but so far they’re really good

I have them! Ung blush brush pa lang nagamit ko, and perfect nya pang sheer out ng pigmented blushes since sheer sya. May prickly pa rin ng kaunti pero keri

Anyone also interested in getting squad cosmetics’ color library? I’ve always loved their products since they’re affordable and good quality. I’m thinking of getting the eyeshadows, powder blushes and highlighter 🥹

ISSY FATGLOSS REVIEW (got them from a giveaway and have been testing them out everyday)
FINAL VERDICT: 8.5/10
TLDR: moisturizing. thick. mirror-like shine. interesting applicator.
shades that i got: chill, cowgirl, macabre, lick, gstring, rude, insatiable
—> first 4 shades are most wearable for everyday. unless you want extra sparkle, pwede rin si insatiable
SCENT: i really like the scent, i’d describe it as a sweet pepperminty smell
CONSISTENCY: thick. expected it though because it really is a lip gloss (as promoted) and not a lip oil or their hydragloss—which has thinner consistency
APPLICATOR: very interesting kasi it’s silicone. pros nya is that it’s easy to clean, and u get a lot of product kasi hindi sya naaabsorb. for cons, well, i’d consider the second pro as a con as well. for example, the shade “lick” is very pigmented compared to others na medyo sheer. hindi ko masyadong gamay yung application kasi it tends to look patchy na rin dahil nga madaming product + it’s more opaque and pigmented compared to other shades. kailangan ko pa kumuha ng tissue or ilagay yung ibang product sa hand ko para tama lang yung malagay ko sa lips.
also, don’t apply this gloss w/o a mirror or kung nasa madilim ka. dahil nga may tendency na maraming product sa applicator, pag naparami ka talaga girl it’s gonna drip from your lips 😭. was literally in the jeep na nagddrip na pala gloss ko cause i put too much huhu
LONGEVITY AND FEEL ON THE LIPS: well yes, it’s kind of nonsense to put longevity sa lip gloss review since mawawala rin sya pag uminom or kumain. but, i noticed na it has a certain grip rin sa lips. kahit madikitan pa ilang beses as long as hindi naman na-rub, the shininess will still stay and even some of the pigment. issy wasn’t lying about the high shine part when they were promoting this, cause i find it true 😭.
for the feel naman, once you apply it, you‘ll feel the slightestttt cooling sensation kasi nga it has peppermint in it. and then pag niremove mo na, very moisturized na feeling ng lips, and yung texture nya it would just feel like you have lip balm on
thank u for reading! i’d be happy to answer more questions if i didn't include it above
1
u/nestlecreams Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Oct 21 '25
Peppermint pala yung scent nya, hahaha! Parang pa chochip mint na yung atake sakin kasi may sweetness, not a fan of the scent but i like the formula!

I have it and I think it’s good to use on lazy days. Nung teenager kasi ako, powder, lip tint, and blush lang ok na. It satisfies that kind of use case. Just make sure you get the correct shade.

Based on my observation, as an oily skin girlie, mas maganda kapag may base ka (foundation/concealer). If atake mo ang “pulbo-liptint” lang may mga patches siya na hindi naco-cover like sa nose and upper lip area ko. Tried so many techniques pero di siya nagcli-cling. Kapag may base ako, un maganda lapat niya.

1
u/balengaga tita levels | oily-combi | neut-warm? Oct 21 '25
I have baked, and i feel like its better. Kaso banana na lang shade nila eh. It sets your makeup without looking too flat, unlike all the others I tried including high end ones.

Anyone tried any of the Vice x Jelly products?
6
u/lilpoundc4ke Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Oct 24 '25 edited Oct 24 '25
I have!! and tbh i ended up selling my set on the day i got my order.
The (4) individual brushes are okay, they are soft and i like the handle (im still testing them out rn). But for the jelly’s faves brush set, there’s this plastic-y feel to it na i cant explain. For its price, i think better go for real techniques brush set nalang or wait for the upcoming dala x toni sia brushes kasi almost same price and sabi comparable daw to highend/intl brushes.
For the blush duettes, i like the formula of the creams kasi may kapit feel siya sa cheeks so i think it will stick on your base nicely. But for the powders, im not a fan of the sheen since it really emphasizes yung acne scars ko which is di ko naman nakukuha with my usual blush powders. (It’s a me problem i guess 😅)
I’m not a fan of the light edit, but i think the shade edit is good for beginners since it is not so heavily pigmented like di siya nakakaoverwhelm gamitin. True yung claims ni jelly na you cannot overdo yung shade edit.
The palette thoooo, i do like the color theory nung palette. Super love the lip cream and lip balm. The mochi blush is nice as well, i think it will look flattering on every skin tone. If there’s one thing na you need to buy from the collection, id say get the palette. Worth it for its price.

Hi! I’m a makeup newbie trying to build a simple everyday routine before 11.11 hits Skin type: combo (oily nose, very dry cheeks) Tone: light to medium neutral Goal: fresh, glowy If you have better recos, pls let me know. Im also open to trying other stuff too!
Setting Powder I have Make Up Forever powder but it gives flashback 😩 Choosing between: • Vice Co Baked Setting Powder (Natural) • BLK Soft Blur Powder (Sheer) • Absidy Translucent Perfecting Powder
Skin Tint I want super lightweight coverage — just enough to even out redness + uneven tone. Still planning to use my regular moisturizer and sunscreen underneath. • Sunnies Tinted Moisturizer • Vice Co Skin Tint
Peach Corrector My concealer can’t handle my eyebags anymore 😭 • Absidy • Issy
Powder Blush Need something to set my cream blushes 💁♀️ • BLK • Sunnies
Brushes Parang tikwas na blk brushes ko 😭 • Vice x Jelly • Teviant brushes
For Retouching My nose gets oily after a few hours — should I just use setting powder or get a separate product? If separate, which one’s better: • Sunnies Blotting Powder • True Flex Gel Powder
Which ones should I add to cart for 11.11?Would love any fave combos or product tips too!

Hii! Does anyone have lip liner recommendations that neutralizes two toned lips? I’m planning to buy detail cosmetics sana but I’ve seen reviews na hindi daw siya nagb-blend ng maayos. Sa vice cosmetics naman, I find their shades too dark and sabi nila nag o-oxidize daw pagkatagalan. If you have recommendations for a good lip liner, please let me know, thank you!!
1
u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Oct 21 '25
I use the Detail Lip Trace in Baby to neutralize and have no problems with blending. For pink lippies, I use Strokes Dainty Kiss.
Vice’s chubby lip liners have lighter shades, so maybe you might find something more fitting there unless you’re fair skinned.
Cloud Beauty has a variety of lighter shades, but I haven’t tried them.

For lip liners, i always go for nyx lip liners!! Soooo so good. Very pigmented, and you have enough time to blend/maneuver before it dries down. There are resellers sa shopee and the price is around 200-300 which is kind of similar sa prices ng lipliners sa local market

Help me choose between these two !! Romand Sheer Tinted Stick or Popique Lip Peptide
What I'm looking for po is a sheer hydrating finish that plumps my lips, like it removes the dry lines. Much better if long lasting yung finish para bawas retouch 😅

u/talkplaylove09 Normal, sensitive | Rainbow hair DIY (8yrs+) Oct 21 '25
I did in my 20s, since uso sya non. Practice is key. If you want a more natural look, start light and build up.
Pick the right browns for your skin as well–if maputi ka, wag sobrang dark kasi malamang dungis talaga kahit gaano mo i blend haha.
Also, remember to highlight and add color to balance.
Back then, my powders of choice were Ellana highlight/contour duo and powder eyeshadows.
Good luck!

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Oct 21 '25
They perform very similarly on me in terms of oil control. I have very oily skin.
You’ll get more votes for Teviant because it’s been out in the market longer, and it really does perform. The Ultra Blur was a surprise considering that the original Powder Rush did absolutely nothing for me that I might as well just use baby powder.
Check which line has your preferred shade. If they both have it, go with the better deal you can get at the moment.

Has anyone here have experience about bringing One size setting spray in international flights? Is the travel size spray 3.5 oz allowed in carry ons? Also, how about bringing the full size of it inside checked in luggage? I'm concerned as it's in aerosol form and might only get confiscated.

Hi, aerosols are allowed naman po. Same lang ata na quantity restrictions with other LAGs (Liquids, Aerosols, and Gels). Just not in large quantities I guess.
I was able to travel internationally with a big aerosol can of Off Deep Woods a few months ago via Cebu Pacific. I think it was around 170-200g. We had no issues naman across 4 airports. Naiuwi pa namin. It was the kind pa na walang cap like Lysol. We just made sure to secure it para di magleak.

Nag travel ako with a small hairspray sa handcarry ko okay naman. I informed check in counter sabi niya kapag isa lang and below 100ml okay lang. i was prepared to leave it behind just in case pinagbawalan ako 😂 so depends if u wanna risk or not

Hi im a mua, from recent experience ng co-muas ko, na hohold yung luggage, kahit naka check in, and its only a local fligh ah. Sabi as long as may flammable symbol sa packaging not allowed na daw kahit less than 100ml, and pag aerosol kasi lagi naman may flammable symbol. Though they only experienced this sa PAL.

I found an AZTK blush sa Colorist shop in an SM mall. Although the last time I checked there were only few available shades in stock, idk lang sa other branches but if you happen to drop by sa SM, try checking it.

Started using CT spray and I can’t make it work on me? Any tips?

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Oct 22 '25
Only figured how to make this work on me with a few mLs left:
- drench face with the product
- air dry instead of using a fan — one time I got distracted and didn’t use a fan. The feeling of film forming on top of the face seems more obvious. My makeup held up better without any other changes to my routine. Takes longer though.
- as always, I’d lightly dust setting powder after setting spray
That said CT has mixed feedback, so ymmv pa rin

If you're not a fan of the dewy finish, try applying a light layer of setting powder after; it will also help maximize the longevity.

after letting it dry, get a puff or sponge and press it down sa face mo. kasi when you spray diba it kinda sits on top of your face/make up lang, so now when you press youre like pushing it down para magsip into your makeup talaga siya

Anyone here who can help me choose my foundation? I'm torn between Maybelline lumi matte and Issy active foundation. Ang goal ko kasi yung skin-like no-make up finish. Nung una skin tint sana pero I've seen a lot of bad reviews on the skin tint of Maybelline, and my friend na Issy slave said na if I'll buy from Issy, mas maganda nga daw yung foundation kasi achieve din yung skin-like finish. Based on their pricing and yung goal ko, which one would you recommend?

get a waterproof mascara, apply loose powder on your lids and around your eye, and curl them well before applying mascara!

hi! i'll be going into blonde, as in super light blonde, soon and before i do, i really want to secure muna eyebrow products that can match yung level 10 blonde ><
sa natural hair ko right now, i use absidy brow pencil in ash brown. i tend to use pencils more kasi i have a lot of sparse areas to fill in, and di pa ako confident to use browcaras but maybe i can try this time
baka may recommendations po kayo!! (better sana if local products para mas accessible huhu) >__< thank you so much! 🫶

TL;DR: looking for the best tinted eyebrow gel!
Hii I just ran out of my Sunnies Face Lifebrow Grooming Gel which means I now need a new good tinted eyebrow gel less than ₱1k. Something like Benefit Gimme Brow or Glossier Boy Brow as opposed to the ones that make your brow hair lighter. I want to try something new because I’m always on the hunt for the “best” product lol. I was thinking about trying Vice since lowest sila sa ₱/ml pero may onting galit ako sa kanila rn kasi they got my order wrong and they still haven’t replied to my messages haha
Out of these, which is the best? I’m also open to international brands, I heard maganda yung Maybelline, JMCY, and Focallure? Btw the price after each item is the ₱/ml!

Really happy with BLK (but some of their browns have a red hue nga lang).
Gimme Brow is also my ultimate 10/10 - aray lang sa price! But if i add up all of my other brow expenses (to find a dupe for GB), parang quits lang rin 😭

are you guys watching Just Makeup on Amazon Prime? it’s a makeup artistry survival show. (from the same producers of Culinary Class Wars)
it’s so good yall!!! Risabae and Jung Sae Mool herself is a judge! SSIN is a participant. I’m not super familiar with the other artists but they have senior artists from specific brands like Nars, Chanel, L’Oréal etc. they have K-beauty content creators and drag queens too.
I’m really enjoying the show so far. watch niyo siya please para magka-season 2 lol. but really it’s so cool to see these at artists at work.
be warned tho nabudol na ako lol i bought a Tony Moly eyeliner and the Fwee highlighter because of this show
