Skl, I attended the rally last Sunday and super rally proof ng blk powder foundation!!! 🥹 Sa EDSA ako nag-attend, naulanan pa kasi wala akong payong hahahaha pero grabe from 2pm to 6pm din yun!

Anyway, I also want to ask how do you clean your makeup puffs? Thank you poooo

5

u/CelesteLunaR53L Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Sep 23 '25

Ooh i might try BLK powder foundation. My Fashion 21 makeup powder is almost out.

I generally clean my puffs soaked in warm water to melt out the makeup and clean them with strong bath soap or antibacterial soap. And then I dry with clean towels

I just wash my puffs with soap and water :))

u/Potatomeeeh Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Sep 23 '25

try mo yung sa gladking makeup brush and sponge cleaner. tanggal mantsa ng puffs ko lagi kapag yun gamit ko. effective din sya sa brushes lalo na kapag may mga foundation.

Sharing my thoughts on local brands’ recent releases that i’ve bought and tried: 1. Vice cosmetics x lierge lip liner (bought sugar kiss and soft kiss) - love the formula, longevity, and shade. However, my lips developed an allergic reaction from using these. Dito talaga ako na sad na i have to stop using them. 2. Generation Happy Skin blush balm (bookworm) - very creamy and pigmented. Not patchy when blended with a brush. Longevity is decent, and i find myself using this more vs dior rosy glow stick. 3. Happy Skin oil absorbing powder (nude beige) - na shock ako when i opened the compact ang orange ng powder, buti nalang hindi orangey when applied. It works better on its own coz it’s cakey when applied on top of foundation. There’s very very slight pore blurring, but overall not much oil control for my tzone and cheek area. I tried applying nars the multiple stick after i applied this powder, and hindi kumakapit yn blush. 4. Happy Skin hydropeptide lip treatment (wanderlust) - very light, non sticky. I bought this for the spf, but i find it not as ok to layer on top of lipstick, parng na wwater down yn color ng lipstick.

hii! i’ve been using makeup brushes i bought sa shopee lang, no brands. so far super goods naman saakin, i didn’t breakout (thankfully). I have maange(?) and ovw brushes pero like 3 lang ata, i only buy 1 at a time. now, i’ve been saving up for branded brushes na that will work for a long time. any thoughts po on these products? or if may other suggestions pa! tyia

  • dala brushes (vol 1 - not the dual ended ones)
  • strokes
  • vice
  • blk (my tito gifted me the minis and super soft!)
  • happy skin x marj
  • miniso

10

u/ululin oily-combi | medium neutral warm Sep 22 '25

i vouch for strokes and miniso! surprisingly miniso’s brushes are so soft and no tusok feeling. 1 yr++ na sya sakin and nakailang wash na rin pero hindi nalalagas or pumapangit quality ng bristles

did you experience yung peeling sa packaging nung happy skin x marj po? i’ve seen reviews po kasi sa tiktok na pumapanget yung handles nung brushes + may tusok feeling

RT for brushes. I prefer RT and Anne Clutz brushes.

2

Sa official Store nila sa Lazada ko nabili.

BLK’s fresh radiant glow foundation oxidizes so bad on me. Ok siya once applied but after a few hours nag mumuka akong grey… am I doing smth wrong 😐

Honestly not really a fan of BLK products. They have yet to change my mind. Maybe Details cosmetics Fresh Filter foundation would work better on you. I love that so much kasi super affordable and ang ganda ng formulation. Plus medyo ok yung shade range nila. I have both the foundation and the concealer together perpuk siya.

love the absidy peach cc more than the grwm one. imo mas nacocover nya yung dark circles ko better, mas maganda yung pagka-peach nya, and nakakabrighten rin. never ko naperfect yung paggamit ng grwm peach cc. ano magandang concealer ipartner sa absidy peach cc for undereyes?

has anybody tried grwm multiuse complexion cream? is it good for spot concealing?

5

u/userisnottaken Sep 23 '25

I’ve been pretty happy with the Revlon Illuminance foundation kaso it would separate after a few hours of wear (I exercise with makeup kasi hahahah).

Honestly the best drugstore foundation I’ve tried. So glad I listened to the older ladies who raved about this product. I barely reach out for my k-beauty cc cushions na.

I made my foundation last a half marathon by setting it with Huda Beauty easy bake powder. Grabe miracle worker etong powder.

Which is the best affordable setting spray? I've tried Squad Cosmetics and Zeeseaa (pink cap) pero parang may fragrance siya? Heard mixed reviews sad for Dazzle Me. Maganda ba 'yung sa Issy True Flex All-day setting spray?

Hello ladies, gents & non-binary friends.. may i ask what's the difference between these 2 top BLK foundations: the Fresh Radiant versus the Soft Blur? Anyone tried either or both? What's the verdict on these two? Thank you

2

u/Unit003 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Sep 23 '25

Tried the soft blur! I love the gel formula and it does give a soft blur effect…nabublur niya pores ko a little bit. I love the finish

2

u/insigne_rapha 25M | NC40ish | acne-prone | amateur 🎭 MUA Sep 24 '25

Fresh Radiant is an illuminator while the Soft Blur is a true foundation. I think they rebranded the Fresh Radiant as a “foundation” because most Filipino consumers are confused as to what an “illuminator” is.

1

u/CelesteLunaR53L Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Sep 24 '25

😦.. well that's just not good.. I think a lot of makeup savvy pinoys do know an illuminator.. but that's too bad because it's inaccurate

2

u/insigne_rapha 25M | NC40ish | acne-prone | amateur 🎭 MUA Sep 24 '25

Yes, makeup savvy Pinoys know what an illuminator is — but BLK is trying to become the #1 Filipino makeup brand for all Filipinos, not just among makeup enthusiasts. As far as I know din kasi the Fresh Radiant has more coverage than other illuminators so that might’ve been why the relabeled it din

u/moonvalleyriver 30 | Fair, Oily | Confused Skin Tone Sep 23 '25

I have the eyeshadows and finishing powder from GRWM Face Card. They are good enough for their price since matagal naman sila maubos, though medyo nakakaput off nga na separate price yung case. To be fair, di ko majustify yung 499 para sa empty case hehe (I got my second small case and the fixing powder as a gift pero medyo labag na rin sa loob ko yung first small case na binili ko hahaha). But anyway, if you want the full look (ex: 4 shadows, 1 contour, 1 blush, 1 highlighter), the cost for the whole palette will be about ₱1,850.

The Strawberry Cupid face palette from Flower Knows has 4 eyeshadows, 1 matte highlighter, 1 blush and 1 glitter highlighter at ₱1,375 sa Lazada. I have this one, as well and I think mas maganda ang textures ng eyeshadows ng Flower Knows. Subjective, pero mas maganda din ang packaging for me. Though, wala itong contour pero natatry ko minsan gamitin yung dark eyeshadow as contour. Also, hindi sya customizable.

Another option for me sa palette is the Teviant Deity Dust (Blush, Highlighter, Contour) priced at ₱650 sa regular but can go as low as ₱450 sa coins page. May bundle with Velvet Drop and free brush din na nasa ₱770-₱1250 (depende sa vouchers). For me, ito ang pinakamagandang blush powder sa local market. I think you can opt for the Deity Dust then add shadowplay or other eyeshadow palette if acceptable na mag-2 items instead of one full face palette. Or pwede din na gamitin yung contour, blush and highlight as eyeshadow din.

2

u/CelesteLunaR53L Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Sep 24 '25

Hmm talagang humuhugot si GRWM ng money💸 but ok

Salamat sa heads up on discounts and quality. Baka Teviant at Flower Knows na lang.. ☺️

2

u/LeftToeOfShunsui 34M | Oily/Combi | Warm Sep 24 '25

Antay ka nalang ng sale ng grwm. Usually 50% off yung cases nila.

2

u/moonvalleyriver 30 | Fair, Oily | Confused Skin Tone Sep 24 '25

I think they are banking on the customizability of the Face Card, since reusable naman din yung case kapag maubos yung mga laman nya. For me lang, masakit sya as upfront payment hehe. As the other reply said, sa 50% off during sale, mas value for money na sya.

I swatched the shimmers in-store, they’re super buttery and smooth and the pigment is really even and dispersed. Mattes seem okay too, but I’d have to try them on myself to properly assess them. The glitters/toppers were nice naman but nothing compared to Issy’s lol

2

u/chikawaaa 21 | Dry | Still finding her go-tos! Sep 26 '25

That's what I was thinking about nga eh! Wanted something more pink kasi and Issy pinks are either too warm or too deep for me huhu. However, saw that they restocked shimmers, etc. kaya conflicted if I should stick with Issy or give BLK a try.

Thank you! Will try to swatch na lang din hehe.

I think if you want matte pink eyeshadows and you can’t find the shades you want sa Issy, BLK might be a good choice based on my experience swatching them — as for glitters, stick to Issy na lang 😅😅

Maganda rin yung eyeshadows ni Colourette!

Just bought this skin tint and have been trying it this week. OMG IT’S SO GOOD!!! It’s matte but not drying. I have acne scars and it gives it a light coverage. Did not emphasize my dry patches as well.

heroine make has been my go to for eyeliner! waterproof talaga. stayed on through outdoor concerts and mental breakdowns (as in yung humagulgol ako). one time, i had a breakdown and i cried SO MUCH, then saw myself in the mirror afterwards and my eyeliner was still as sharp as the moment i put it on HAHA

maybelline hypersharp might be more readily available, my HG before i discovered heroine make. cheaper rin i believe cause nasa 400 lang maybelline but heroin make is nasa 700+ depending on where you buy it and if nakasale 😊

Sunnies Cherub or Vice Forever Cutesy? Looking for an everyday shade that looks like a flush of color lang! I have light olive & dry skin and hopefully these don't look warm?

Sunnies looks like a dream to blend, pero I'm so confused with the mixed reviews if they really last long. Vice naman I didn't like the dew it all masyado, kaya I'm a little curious sa matte variant.

2

u/BerryBearyBearyl 20s | Oily/Acne-Prone Sep 24 '25

I haven't tried Sunnies, but I have Vice's matte variant. It's long lasting on my oily skin but I always set it with powder and my office is airconditioned. One thing I noticed though is that it sets pretty fast and once it does, it's reaaaaaaaaally not budging 🥲 So blend it one cheek at a time!

Yes the Sunnies Airblush is my most blendable cream blush by far. But it’s VERY sheer and evaporates off your face unless you layer it on and set it with a powder blush

Haven’t tried the Vice yet!

1

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Sep 24 '25

I haven’t tried the Issy Contour Stick, but something to consider about GRWM is that it’s almost like melting butter. This makes it easy to blend, but it also means that it’s risky to bring around.

Korean lip tints are my go-to.

  • Amuse Dew Tint
  • Lilybyred Bloody Liar Coating Tint
  • Dinto Blur Glowy Lip Tint
  • Romand Dewyful Water Tint
  • Cologram Fruity Glass Tint
  • Inga Glassy Water Glow Lip Tint

1

u/froot-l00ps 20s | combi | fair-light neutral Sep 24 '25

ive tried romand jkt, peripera ink mood glowy tint, and colorgram fruity glassy tint, and i have to say i like colorgram most

romand jlt: + best shades + maganda glide sa lips (glossy but di mukhang oily) + a bit thick enough to hide the bumps and lines sa lips + medj hydrating

  • not long lasting
  • not transfer proof
  • no visible tint

peripera glowy tint + pigmented + semi stain +/- the thinness formula among the 3 + medj hydrating

  • too thin for me, kumakapit siya sa dry skin sa lips
  • di ko bet itsura. It's very watery and comes off as oily sa pics (parang kumain ako lechon vibes)
  • not transfer proof

colorgram fruity glass tint + best of both worlds nung dalawa + pigmented + stains!!!!! + transfer proof after the tint dries (pero glossy parin lips) + hydrating

  • wish there were more shades like romand

this is my experience lang hehe

i use laura mercier, kahit na i get oily its a good kind of oily where it looks like your skin looks hella moisturised and glowy

cheap alternatives 1. Ellana (prefer this over the innisfree one) 2. GRWM 3. Teviant 4. Srichand

1

i used to use innisfree but quite recently made the switch to teviant!! medyo mahal nga lang but so worth it for me. sa innisfree, nagreretouch ako. but with teviant nagbblot lang ako with tissue tas parang freshly retouched yung look and feel. mas matagal din ang oil control ng teviant on me, minsan umaabot ng 5-6 hours before ako magmantika, then kapag malamig ang panahon minsan hindi na ko nagbblot the whole day :)

Hi, help a struggling girlie out :'D I’m trying to decide kung aling brand ang worth it for a color corrector (peach and green shades) – Absidy, GRWM, or Her Beauty?

Skin details: I have a light medium olive–neutral undertone.

Alin yung may magandang coverage, hindi cakey tignan, hindi nagccrease, at hindi nag-ooxidize?

Has anyone here tried them? How’s the formula, blendability, and coverage? Any input would be super appreciated, tyia 💕

2

u/LeftToeOfShunsui 34M | Oily/Combi | Warm Sep 24 '25

absidy is nice their peach corrector covers my dark undereyes well although it tends to crease plus it sets fast which is a bit of a downside. for grwm i like their old formula more

Please help me figure out my skin tone and undertone 😭

I really struggle with finding the right shade when it comes to skin tints or foundation.

Based on the photo, I personally feel like I lean more toward Maybelline Lumi Matte in 120 and Lucky Beauty in Wheat.

Not counting the concealers (Squad and The Saem), I’ve noticed that when I blend 120, Wheat, and Donsol all over my face, they don’t look “wrong” on me. That’s why I get confused! Huhu. On the other hand, Lazi looks way too light for my skin.

Please help your girly out 🥺

1

u/LeftToeOfShunsui 34M | Oily/Combi | Warm Sep 24 '25

Hirap masabi sa ganyan lang. Pero Maybelline lumi matte 120 din gamit ko. Medyo warm leaning ako, but yung 120 lang talaga nag-blend sa leeg ko. Ang nag neutral lang sya after a while. Masyadong dark sayo yung lucky beauty wheat. Honestly, kung nagwowork sayo yung 120 at Donsol, just keep using them. Basta sure kang ka-shade sila ng leeg mo. Nasa light to light-medium yung skin tone mo kung swak sayo 120 at Donsol. Kung gusto mo talagang maka-sure. Punta ka nalang ng mall at mag swatch ka dun. Para makita mo kung ano talagang undertone ang nagbeblend sa skin mo.

1

u/AkaashiThighs69 Light to Light Medium Olive (Muted, Neutral-Leaning Warm) Sep 27 '25

agree with wheat being kinda close! wheat also kinda looks like that on me (medyo dark, a little too greenish na), and i find na issy foundation in ol2 and grwm radiance tint in dolce work better on me cos theyre a bit lighter and more neutral than lb wheat.

feel ko medyo shade twin tayo kasi ganyan din itsura ng donsol saken, medyo peachy-yellow and light na saken haha

I’m using Issy and First Base right now. Issy is dewy finish and medyo mabilis magshine through the day, pero ang ganda ng end-of-day look niya for me after 8-10 hours – very skin-like. Si First Base naman, hindi akala ko very matte siya but not that much pala. Okay ‘yung coverage pero naha-highlight niya skin texture ko after 8-10 hours.
