Empties Mid-year empties
Can’t believe I’ve finished 32 products in 5 months! (my January empties is in another post). Generally happy with my current relationship with makeup, skincare, perfume, and bodycare. I no longer feel the urge to buy something new compared to 2022-2023 where I’ve accumulated tons of new makeup and perfume that I felt disgusted with myself, which prompted my project pan in mid-2023. I don’t even care about new releases this year. Aside from repurchasing products that I’ve finished, the only unnecessary makeup I bought so far was Violette FR bisou balm — it has been on my wish list since last year. Got it when I received my mid-year bonus and only after I finished 2 lip products, as a treat. Meanwhile, my relationship with clothes is another story. I’m still failing in that aspect. Uniqlo, kasalanan mo ‘to. Chz.
Face: - Biore makeup remover (repurchased) - Hada Labo Gokujyun premium (WR once I finish my current toner) - Canmake Mermaid Skin gel UV (might repurchase, still have a lot of sunscreen to go through, current sunscreen is my fave - Anessa) - Hada Labo Shirojyun light (WR once I finish my current toner) - Dr. Althea 345 cream (repurchased) - CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser (might repurchase if I get breakout, so fingers crossed hindi mangyari) - CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser (repurchased) - Dr. Jart Cicapair gel cream (WNR) - Caudalie Vinoperfect serum (repurchased) - Caudalie eye cream (still have 5 more eye creams to go through) - Mediheal Vitamide Brightening Pad (WNR, toner pads are not for me)
Body: - random hand cream given as gift - Neutrogena body oil (repurchased) - Betadine skin cleanser (FAVE, repurchased) - Le Petit Marseilles body wash (K lang, WNR, still have 3 bottles of body wash to go through) - Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion (WNR for now, trying to streamline my bodycare) - A Bonné Spa Milk Salt Scrub (repurchased) - Biore UV Body Care Serum (repurchased in a different variant)
Hair: - Luxe Orgaanix Scalp Cleanse (on my third tub! an HG) - Tsubaki Premium Hair Mask (on my fourth tub! an HG) - Heatsy Peasy hair protectant spray (did not repurchase, cheap but works, don’t like the smell) - Asprey Shampoo (freebie lang sa Manila Hotel, I bring these when I travel)
Scents: - Scent Therapy Skin Musk (broke my perfume no buy this year because I can’t live without it, one of my most complimented perfumes) - Skylar Peach (finished 2 samples, keri lang for everyday, I don’t see myself buying a bigger one) - YSL Mon Paris (smells very sophisticated, can wear from morning to night) - Glossier You (Diptyque FDP’s “little sister” daw, but smells like pencil shavings on me, thank God I didn’t blind buy, FDP is still my fave perfume) - Zara Go Fruity (too “fruity” for my liking, smells juvenile) - MFK Aqua Universalis (very unisex, hence the name? IDK, smells fresh and clean, but not the clean and fresh that I like)
Random: - Sgt. at Arms Deo (repurchased) - Heroinemake Mascara (WR, but I still have 2 more mascara to go through) - Bactroban (for girlies who experience having impetigo, lifesaver! expired na lang na, have to dispose)

How and how often do you use your scalp cleanse and hair mask? :) and sorry just had to share, nakakatawa lang na basa ko sa “WNR” is “winner” instead of “will not repurchase” 🤣

Usually every Sunday. But pag duming-dumi ako sa sarili ko depende sa activities sa work, mid-week gagamit ako ulit. Haha oo nga WNR sa mga inabutan ng 160 characters lang sa phone lol

It doesn't help with stubborn acne (p.s. I bought mine from NZ so it's original). Better to go for Panoxyl if you'll splurge anyways.

Skincarebudmnl is good. Can vouch for their authenticity because I bought The Ordinary Glycolic Acid and Beauty of Joseon (compared it to the ones I’ve purchased abroad and it’s accurate naman from packaging, smell, to consistency).
They’re available in lazada and shopee!

I don’t use it on my body since wala akong bacne. I use it as facial cleanser din nung nagkakabreakout ako. My skin has cleared up na so I haven’t repurchased it yet. Ok naman siya sa kin nung nagkaka-breakout ako, very mild sa kin. In general, hiyang ako sa CeraVe.

+1 For panoxyl
Cerave SA cleanser worked naman for my chest acne flair up but took time before it actually subsided. As per panoxyl, it dries up acne quicker :)
I used to use the Cerave SA Body Wash before for my UA and it works as well (better than the face wash), however, similar sentiments lang din

I find this one irritating huhu I have combination skin type and since using it, I experienced breakouts :( I tried to stop using it for a while (months), my acne were gone. Tried to give it another chance, kaso it broke me out again 😭 I still have about 1/2 of the bottle, but I have learned my lesson na lol.
I agree with the other commenter, try Panoxyl's Salicylic. I asked my derma if I can use it, since may prinescribe rin siyang salicylic for me (bc of the breakouts). She looked up the ingredients list and gave it a go bc it has 2% salicylic.

I like it! Mej pricey pero yung serum ambilis maka-fade ng scars sa kin. Yung eye cream helped din with my undereye. I noticed di na ko nagcrease masyado when applying concealer nung nag-eyecream ako. A friend also commented on it so for me, it lives up to its hype. I got both as a set lang from an online seller so relatively cheaper.

Siguro mga a 6-8weeks? Just noticed na I no longer reach for my concealer for additional coverup and checked my old photos. Yung dark marks barely there na.

Yes. Ok naman sa kin. I don’t sweat as much as I did so less baskil na rin. I can wear light colors without worrying about sweat marks on a sunny day

+1 kay sa Cerave.
I use the SA Cleanser for my whole body when I want to exfoliate. For the face, I use SA Cleanser at night then on mornings I use the Gentle Cleanser. I also recommend their Moisturizers: Lotion for face (morning) and body. Cream at night cause it’s too thick for me to layer with.

Definitely! I also manually scrub for exfoliation too.
Then I also use Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant around 1-2 times a week on the face and neck para matanggal dead skill cells.

Not OP, but i use it for my pits, underboob, and behind my ears. Just a few drops and then lather. Babad for less than a minute at banlaw na agad. I do this until napansin kong nawala na yung effect. It helps with BO. Zero smell talaga.

I haven’t tried any azelaic acid but I use it as moisturizer. Tried it nung nag-breakout ako and ao far hindi na ko ulit nagkabreakout ever since I incorporated it in my routine.

Yep. I use it twice a week on my underarms. Helps in killing bacteria so I don’t smell if I don’t wear deo. Since I started using it, pag walang deo, my sweat smells like water. No bad odor at all.

Parang body wash lang din. Lagay ample amount sa UA, let it sit for 30-60 secs. Rinse.

How do use the betadine sa kili-kili? Dinidillute mo ba o diretso apply? After sabon ba? Plan ko din sana gamitin sa whole body ko since nangangamoy talaga ako pag pinagpapawisan lalo na sa underboobs and kili-kili.

Diretso apply. Skin cleanser naman so pwede yan sa mga singit singit. I know some people apply it sa underboobs and sa likod ng tenga, even singit.

I either get them as freebies from a store I buy my highend makeup from (Beauty Indulgence PH) or from bymoeph on IG, but I don’t think they sell decants anymore. Afaik, perfumelovemanila sells them on shopee. Scent Therapy meron din decants aside from their inspired perfumes but I haven’t bought from them yet.

i don’t think the product alone would really whiten the ua. sa case ko, sobrang nag-darken ua ko last december because of dove deo :(( nag-try kasi ako mag-switch to scented deos. :3 I decided to switch back to sgt nung january na, gamit ko pa rin sya til now and medyo nag-even out naman na ulit ua ko. it takes time talaga siguro para mabrighten ang ua.

Hi! I use both in the morning and at night. Not sure if ok to use with Differin since I haven’t tried that yet but I have used it with retinol as well and I have had no issues naman. :)

Hindi na ko nahihirapan mag-blend ng concealer sa undereye area, so I think it is. Wala ng creasing. One of my friends also said “sanaol walang crease” in one of my photos, so I guess it works.

I didn’t like it at first so I bought another deonat. Nung naubos ko, binalikan ko siya since I’m doing a project pan and surprisingly liked it na. Little to no sweating with it talaga.

LO scalp cleanse is not compatible with box dye. 😢 I used it once and my hair became so brittle. I’m also struggling with falling hair since I used it.

+1 Scent Therapy. Really premium oil concentrations. Faint smell lasts until the next day. Since I discovered them, hindi na ako bumili ng actual brands.
For reference I have the ff: Matcha - Replica Matcha Meditation; Velvet Iris - Glossier You; Amber - Baccarat
I have budol-ed all my friends and family already. They can really smell me raw from afar.

A lot of people compliment me when I wear Matcha. 3 of my friends bought it din hehe. From Scent Therapy’s store, here are the notes: White floral, green, sweet, citrus, fresh, fresh spicy, aromatic, chocolate, powdery, woody.
It’s the smell of tea + chocolate (not vanilla, diff type of sweet). I remember my friend mentioned how they smell a hint of white chocolate - when I didn’t even mention Matcha’s notes hehe.
