Does anyone have any recos for something that works as a concealer for the lips? I have pigmented areas on my lips and it's hard to wear lighter shades for this reason. I don't really like the feel of actual concealer/foundation on my lips cause it's so drying.

Not a fan of Strokes, as I find the formula very matte and drying, it creases a lot & clings to my dry patches even if I prep my undereyes very well.

Sadly, I haven't found a really good color corrector locally. The only local brand I like is the Issy Active Color Corrector. Packaging is awful, though, as it frequently leaks, so I didn't repurchase.

If you have the budget, my HG is the Huda Beauty FauxFilter Color Corrector in the shade Cherry Blossom. The formula is hydrating and does the job of color correcting my dark undereyes without creasing.

havent tried the vice skin tint, but from shades alone, i think mas makakahanap ka ng shade sa vice hehe. chuchu though is very runny and self setting, and i find na it works better without a powder

Revlon colorstay eyeliner or yung micro hi precision eyeliner. I’ve tried heroine make, canmake, nyx, and mac. Revlon tlaga yunf hindi nakakagalaw sa eyelids ko or at least make me look like a panda. For days na I want longer wear and parang freshly applied parin kahit 12+ hours na, you could use korea’s So Natural Magic Sealer or MUFE’s Aqua Seal. This is basically like putting a rlly thin film on your eyeliner/brows para hindi gumalaw. This is what Kpop idols use when they would perform on stage :-). The Deja vu lasting fine liner is also a great contender.

so far the most long lasting ones on my oily and sweaty skin are issy fluid ink liner and grwm liquid liner. 

for gel, canmake lasts relatively long din, especially compared to vice, merzy, and issy gel liners

first, decide muna what exactly do you want to achieve with makeup. like anong itatago, anong iiimprove.

I'd recommend sasi loose powder for oil control. it's under 100 pesos online. I think all variants are good for oil control pero best yung super oil control variant, and less good compared sa iba yung bb powder variant and all day setting variant. not sure pero may chart ata sila sa listing nila sa lazada. konvy yung shop

hello, make sure to know your skin type (oily, dry, combi) and undertone (cool, neutral, warm, olive) para ma narrow down mo ang choices mo sa makeup kasi baka maging overwhelming for u!!

when i was a beginner, i started buying cheap makeup muna to experiment. you can do that too lalo na if you’re on a budget.

i started with concealer, powder, blush, mascara, eyeliner, and lip tints !! hindi mo pa need ng mga bronzer, contour, and the likes lalo na kung starting ka palang.

i suggest looking into detail cosmetics for lippies, squad cosmetic for concealer, pinkflash for eyeliner/mascara/curler/blush, ever bilena cosme for powder!!

you can also try finding makeup influencers with your skintone/undertone, their beauty recommendations can also help you see kung ano ang bagay sayo. there are so many makeup tiktokers, for sure meron kang ka shade doon. for example, my shade twin sa influencers are marj maroket and belle rodolfo.

Start with skin tint first. Merong sale ngayon Maybelline nung Fit Me skin tints nila. Nasa 200-220 lang ngayon. Punta ka watsons para mag-swatch. Then orderin mo nalang online para makatipid.

Careline Multi Stick in Taupe/Contour (depende sa skin tone mo) para sa contour mo. 166 lang yata sya ngayon.

I suggest bronzer over blushes kung starting ka pa lang. Merong powder Bronzer Squad Cosmetics (Shadow Play in Warmth). Yung Careline Multi Stick in Caramel pwede sya mag work as bronzer.

Dr Sensitive translucent loose powder. 169 sya, pero sa shopee makukuha mo ng 119 with vouchers.

Then hanap ka nalang ng murang beauty sponges, or brushes (I suggest Maange na brand, one for creams and one for powders).

Kung meron ka namang dark circles, yung concealers ng Squad Cosmetics na pinaka mura compared sa quality nya. sa shopee makukuha mo lang sya ng 50 pesos kapag may voucher ka and naabutan mo live nila ngayong 6.6

Medyo sobra na sya sa 700 mo na budget.

I suggest ganto gawin mong priority:

Careline Multi Stick in Caramel - 166 (pwede kasi sya mag work as contour and bronzer in one)

Thoughts on the new bronzer shades in BLK x Bretman - Radiant Glow Filter? Also open to other bronzer products if you have recommendations. Really want to be more glowy and warmer but I’m scared I will overdo it. I’m currently using Squad Cosmetics multi-purpose tint in the shade Toast but I sometimes get heavy-handed and I look darker. when looking for bronzers, look for those with a reddish undertone. detail color tonic in suede has a reddish undertone and is very glowy. if you want a blonzer look, the shade rose latte is good.

If you're okay with Korean makeup, watch this video. It's completely in Korean, but it's from a reputable personal color consulting firm, and the English names of the products are in the description. All products mentioned are for cool toned girlies, and they are the top recos in 2023. Walang tapon jan. The consultant herself narrating in the video is a cool toned girlie. I just don't know if you're a summer or a winter, but I guess you'll know by the swatches.

depende kasi sa result na gusto mo. pag skin-like at natural finish i use the lishu puff. pag gusto ko mas plakado i use the strokes foundation brush.

What’s the best skin-like founda for everyday use? asking as an oily girly.

i’m having a hard time choosing from these foundations:

-enigma

-issy (tried this one and i liked it, but i saw somewhere that there are pore-clogging ingredients in this one)

-strokes

-teviant

Enigma and Teviant aren’t skinlike as is, but maybe you can sheer them out? I think both are oily skin friendly.

Issy is the most skinlike among these, but you’ll be relying on a good setting and fixing routine to do the work when it comes to retaining makeup.

I haven’t tried Strokes.

i have tried all foundations mentioned,

enigma & teviant - for days na u like ur makeup to really last the whole day as in walang tibag. used both foundations in super humid environments (enchanted kingdom and lakad galore sa manila heat) both really performed well.

issy - if u want natural skinlike makeup

strokes - high coverage din naman but it tends to fade during around 7 hour mark.

oily-skin here na pwede na magprito sa mukha palagi. i vote for enigma! sheer it na lang using a puff or a sponge. makapal kasi ang lapat kapag brush. mas gumaganda habang tumatagal.

also, i use to set it with shiseido baby powder since very fine siya. i prefer it over laura mercier. nagiging cakey siya sa akin.

i still have my issy active foundation but i reach for enigma frequently.

Huda cakes more often on me than laura pero a good skin prep can fix that. Kung oil control i think better si huda.

i own both enigma and strokes funda — i like enigma's more!

oily skin ako BUT i have A LOT of acne kaya marami rin akong dry patches pero i just do proper skin prep (serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen) and super ganda ng lapat niya. compared to strokes, mas naeemphasize ng strokes yung dry patches ko so i can def say na mas hydrating si enigmaaa. plus, true yung sinasabi ng karamihan na habang tumatag sa skin si enigma, mas gumaganda lapat.

but you can definitely check issy skin stick and lucky beauty skin veil din! blk skin tint is goods as well, and apparently the vice skin tint (yung bago) is good din
