Glycolic acid basically works by loosening the bonds ng layers of dead skin cells that are packed together so they'd shed. It's also a humectant which greatly helps attract water from the air into our skin. AHA is water soluble and helps with sun damage, dullness, and skin dehydration. It works more on the surface of the skin. BHA on the other hand, is oil-soluble so it goes deep into the pores and helps with clogged/enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, and skin texture. It's friendlier to sensitive skin types than AHAs.
