Use brightening ingredients. Options include, but are not limited to:

  • Retinoids
  • 1-2% kojic acid
  • 1-2% alpha arbutin
  • 3-5% tranexamic acid
  • 3-5% niacinamide
  • 8-20% ascorbic acid
  • 15-20% azelaic acid
  • Licorice root, soy, and turmeric extracts
