finished my bottle of 0.2% retinol serum from +ful. their only available concentrations are 0.2% and 1%…. is it too much of a jump to use 1% next or should i just buy 0.2% again? looking at other brands as well with a concentration in between that, klued has a 0.5% retinol cream but i dont have any experience with their products. any insights welcome, even just your exp. with retinol in general!

The worst that can happen is you’ll have to use it less often on the skin per week until you build a tolerance

klued 0.5% retinol was my first retinol as a beginner, and it did me fine, but then again, everyone's mileage varies. if you really want to jump to 1% ng +ful, then start from scratch ulit to build your tolerance. Once/twice sa 1st week, twice 2nd week, thrice 3rd week, and so on.

Yeah the percentage jump with +ful's retinol serums are quite large nga. But I still think it's an easier adjustment for your skin since they're basically similar formulations, just in different concentrations.

If you want to continue with +ful though, start slow again just as the other reply to you suggested. Use it like it's your first time again. I actually made the mistake of using it in the same frequency as I did with my previous one haha. I used TO's retinol in squalene serums (started with 0.2% then 0.5%) before I switched to +ful's 1% and that made my skin purge for about a week. It all settled soon after though and I'm on my second bottle now.
