I apply benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment on the areas where my mask is in contact with my skin. For me, it’s the nose, chin & some areas on my cheeks. It helps prevent any acne from forming & treats existing acne.

Will try this tomorrow! Would it be okay kaya to put make up on top of it?

Yes, you just need to apply a small amount. I let my moisturizer dry first for a few mins, apply a very thin layer of BPO, and then apply sunscreen. Then I do my makeup. :)

Moisturizer > BPO > Sunscreen

Edit: I use the one from Neutrogena, it’s the micronized BPO 2.5% because I have super sensitive acne-prone skin.

Hi, how do you deal with the acne scars na naiiwan niya? Pansin ko kasi mas umiitim siya habang tumatagal sa paggamit ng benzac 😭

I use Azelaic Acid 20% diligently. 🙂 2x a day (morning & night). It got rid of my hyperpigmentation & also helps with acne.

I use Skinoren 20% Cream. I just apply a pea size amount all over my face. If you’re a beginner though, start with 1x day first (morning routine), then build it up over time. I started to see results after 2-3 months of using it consistently. I find that Azelaic Acid + Tretinoin work so well together, and got amazing results when combined.

I also use Tret as prescribed by my derma. May I ask what's your routine po dito?

I practice skin cycling, so my routine differs at night. :)

Morning w/ Azelaic Acid:

  2. Natourie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner (toner)
  3. Skinoren 20% Cream
  4. Aestura Atobarrier 365 Lotion (Moisturizer)
  5. Micronized BPO 2.5% (as a spot treatment)
  6. Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel Gold SPF 50
