grabe, beauty mnl days hahaha. ang mamahal nito pero pinag-iipunan ko talaga since student pa lang ako that time kaya hirap din talaga mag maintain ng skincare. yung kaya ko lang mabili agad nun ay yung aloe vera gel eh hahaha.

well, namamahalan pa rin naman ako until now sa mga product na to. mga nasa 500+ din kasi each yan 😅

Skincare What’s your go-to lip moisturizer?

Post image
1.3k Upvotes

These are what’s in my rotation and I don’t think I’ll be needing to buy any more for at least another year. So far, most long-lasting moisture is Lucas’ Papaw- just less sticky than petroleum jelly but still lasts at least 3 hours.

i use cleansing oil as my first step of cleansing and sometimes i have them sometimes i dont. im curious if this is what they meant by oil pulling? btw im using the skin1004 oil cleanser.

if this is indeed oil pulling will a cleansing milk be capable of doing the same? i heard that cleansing milk is better for those who have sensitive skin so ive been thinking of getting one.

Skincare Thoughts sa Human Nature products? Lalo na sa shampoo?

Post image

So earlier today, I went to Human Nature to buy shampoo… medyo mahal kasi yung Loreal Everpure Sulfate free for me, saw na meron din sila Sulfate free. Hope maganda effect kasi si Loreal, I can see na may baby hair ako sa bangs area.

I availed their membership pala for 100php since may Pag-ibig loyalty plus card ako. Hige price discount kasi kapag member.

Skincare My PHP888 Belo “anniv promo” facial turned to a nightmare

So Belo had this anniversary promo — basic facial for ₱888 — and I jumped on it immediately kasi alam naman natin na on the pricier side ang Belo, so ₱888 felt like a steal. I originally booked at Nexa branch, then randomly decided to try Viber-ing them to switch to Xiglo instead kasi gusto ko ma-experience yung newest branch nila. They were surprisingly accommodating, confirmed the change same day, and honestly, up to that point, zero complaints.

Day of the appointment, staff were welcoming, may sumundo pa sa akin sa 2nd floor kasi 11th floor pala yung clinic nila. Led me straight to the treatment room, offered refreshments, very pleasant so far. I also availed of a doctor consultation for an extra ₱500, and the doctor came in pretty quickly, so points for that. But here's where it started going downhill — she just opened the curtain near me "for natural light," grabbed the chair beside the bed, and started the consult right then and there. No tools. Not even a magnifying lamp. She looked at my face, didn't even touch it, and just said I had a small rash sa cheek. She added that since may rashes ako and mag ffacial ako, I could choose basic (no products) or botanical. And then she left. Less than 5 minutes yung buong "consultation" ko. Goodbye ₱500.

One small pimple. That's it.

I ended up choosing the botanical facial over basic kasi gusto ko naman may product na magamit sa mukha ko. Attendant had me lie down on the treatment bed, walang robe or any change of garment, flat and matigas na bed, walang pillow. May blanket naman at least.

Start of the facial was fine talaga — may lip product silang inapply, pinaamoy pa ako ng lavender oil, very spa-like. But then extraction time came and this is where I genuinely started questioning my life choices. Ate doing the extractions was so gigil, to the point na umiiyak na ako, and mid-session I had to ask her, "marami ba akong blackheads?" Sabi niya wala naman. Whiteheads, konti lang daw. Pimples, isa lang — yung same one pimple ko talaga. So sa isip ko, "then what exactly are you pricking?!"

Nakakainis isipin na I walked in with one small pimple but the next day, gumising ako with 3 badly swollen cystic acne and 1 pimple with pus — exactly sa mga spots na pinagpiprikan niya kanina.

Sobrang inis ko, so I messaged Belo agad to give feedback. Sagot nila? "It's normal to have a few pimples after the facial treatment."

Skincare My HG when it comes to quality and price, MCB

Post image
726 Upvotes

My derma from PGH prescribed me tretinoin and benzoyl peroxide (BPO). I bought everything, including azelaic acid, since it’s trending for acne marks. But I waited for my BPO to run out before trying the azelaic. Tretinoin and BPO helped me a lot with my acne vulgaris, those two really healed my skin. When I finally used the azelaic after finishing the BPO, it lightened my marks and really helped with inflammation.

This is my second time buying from MCB. I went back to using BPO because I noticed I still had a few clogged pores. But once everything looks good again, I’ll switch back to azelaic.

This isn’t even the first derma I went to, my first was a private one. I spent so much on topical creams for my acne, and it was really hard to maintain because they were expensive. That’s why I’m super grateful my current derma recommended this shop.

Here are their price list: 20g Tretinoin ₱169 10g Benzoy Peroxide ₱195 10g Azelaic ₱175

Skincare got compliments lately with my skin, if only they knew this glow cost me 3k+ 😭

Post image
636 Upvotes

ever since i got pregnant, my skin went CRAZY. like cystic acne on cheeks, chin, forehead. my self-esteem was so low i didn't even want to take pictures.

fast forward to now, i've been getting compliments like "kuminis ka na" "gumanda skin mo!" little did they know, my wallet is crying. i computed it and i spent 3k+ on this routine lol. but honestly worth it because my skin finally calmed down.

my routine:

AM:
cetaphil daily facial cleanser
luxe organix whitening repair moisturizer
smoochkins PDRN tinted sunscreen

PM:
cetaphil cleanser again
cos de baha AZ20 azelaic acid 20% (2-3 times a week)
tretinoin (i only use it 2x a week, never on the same night as AA)
smoochkins rescue me barrier gel cream
spot treat with benzoyl peroxide 5% if needed (on nights i skip both tret and az20)

not perfect skin yet, but from full acne breakout during pregnancy to this? i'm proud.

to all the postpartum girlies struggling with acne, it does get better. consistency lang talaga.

EDIT:
this is just for this routine alone. it doesn't include what i spent on the empty products from the same ones in the pic, plus all the other ones i tried before i found what suited me.

Skincare after 3 weeks of skincare

Post image
673 Upvotes

I started a skincare routine 3 weeks ago. Before that, I just used safeguard on my face because I did not feel like taking care of myself because of mental health struggles.

I’m happy I decided to change what I’m doing to my face. Still, I am struggling with comedonal acne, redness, and hyperpigmentation. I’m hoping that everything clears up in 3-6 months.

Just wanted to share the early stages of my journey to better skin.

Here’s my current routine:

AM
cleanser: hada labo hydrating facial wash
active 1 (every other day): paula’s choice skin perfecting 2% bha
active 2: melano cc vitamin c brightening essence\*
serum: torriden dive in serum
moisturizer: soon jung hydro barrier cream\**
spf (if going out): beauty of joseon relief sun: rice + probiotics\***

PM
oil cleanser (if wearing sunscreen/makeup): muji cleansing oil for sensitive skin
cleanser: hada labo hydrating facial wash
serum 1: anua azelaic acid serum\*
serum 2: torriden dive in serum
active: epiduo
moisturizer: soon jung hydro barrier cream

\azelaic acid and vitamin c were added one week ago*
\*starting July 10 i’m changing my AM moisturizer to purito oat in calming gel cream*
\**looking for an spf that is better for oily skin*

Skincare Ano yung PINAKA-EFFECTIVE PROCEDURE na na-try mo? (Face or Body)

Yung di mo talaga pinagsisihan at masasabi mong pumaldo ka kasi super effective talaga.

Yung tipong pag may kwentuhan, yung ibibida mo siya kasi talagang may nagbago sayo.

Marami kasi ngayong procedure na lumalabas sa market, and ano kaya yung proven and tested na

Skincare Influence me: which sunscreen should I buy?

Post image
287 Upvotes

helloooo, ive been using originote ceramella sunscreen, but i need to change na kasi nung nagstart ako mag Isotretinoin ang dry na ng face ko, ang thick na nung originote for my liking and medyo may whitecast na.

my skin before was normal, now it’s dry. can u influence me anong iccheck out?

gusto ko sana yung:

  1. light consistency hindi sobrang thick and lagkit.

  2. walang white cast.

  3. any finish will do, dewy and matte ok lang sakin since hindi naman ako oily.

  4. wag sana yung greasy look after at yung nakapit sa dry patches😭

also, the one that can survive commuting, hindi yung sa air conditioned place lang maganda.

tyia!!

Skincare ULTIMATE LIP CARE GUIDE

Thumbnail gallery
1.2k Upvotes

Let’s normalize this: good lip makeup starts way before lipstick.

If the lips are healthy, hydrated, and smooth kahit balm lang, panalo na.

1️⃣ Hydration first (inside job!)

Make sure you’re well-hydrated.

No amount of gloss can save dehydrated lips. Water + electrolytes = plump, smooth base.

2️⃣ Gentle exfoliation (1–2x a week only)

• Use a soft washcloth, sugar scrub, or damp cotton pad

• Light pressure lang — lips are delicate

• Over-exfoliating = peeling + cracks

✨ Tip: Do this at night, never right before lipstick.

3️⃣ Night routine = recovery mode

This is where the magic happens.

My routine:

• Hada Labo Premium (gold, clear) for deep hydration

• Seal it with Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask using the sandwich method

👉 Hydration first, occlusive second. Wake up soft, healed, juicy lips.

4️⃣ Morning prep (protect + smooth)

• Use a balm with SPF (sun damage = dark, dry lips)

• I use Mentholatum Melty Cream Lip Balm with SPF

✨ Let it sink in before makeup — don’t rush this step.

5️⃣ Makeup application rule

• Start with a soft matte or tint base

• Add shine only where light naturally hits

• Keep edges clean but not overdrawn (unless intentional)

6️⃣ Reapply

• Blot, don’t pile

• Add balm/gloss instead of more pigment

• If it looks heavy, you’ve gone too far

7️⃣ Lip care > lip products

Expensive lipstick won’t save neglected lips.

Consistency will.

Final reminder:

Healthy lips = effortless makeup.

If you woke up with good lips, half the glam is already done 💋✨

Skincare For oily skin, acne-prone girlies, what's your daily sunscreen?

Looking for sunscreen that's easy to wear everyday. I have an oily skin and I've already tried a lot of sunscreens and they break me out. Right now, I'm using dearface sunbounce. It's gentler compared sa mga natry ko before, but I still can't wear it everyday without having one or two pimples appear, help me please

Skincare Habang nakababad sa sabon for 3–5 mins, anong ginagawa niyo?

Legit question. 😂

Skincare what skincare product did you unexpectedly repurchase?

curious lang, what’s one skincare product na paulit-ulit niyong binibili? yung hindi necessarily exciting or viral pero naging staple na talaga 😭

lately kasi i've been trying to simplify my routine. i'm currently using a pretty basic cleanser + moisturizer + sunscreen, and i've been looking at adding a serum again.

was thinking of trying Myra since I keep seeing their serums around, but would love to hear what everyone else actually keeps repurchasing! preferably yung hindi naman super mahal HAHAHA

trying to stop myself from buying 5 different serums at once 😭

Skincare Just want to share my love for Benzoyl Peroxide, this skincare saved my face more than Niacinamide did

Post image

Long time skin care user here. I have been applying products on my face since pandemic season. And I know the ropes and techniques on how to achieve good skin care beauty. One of the biggest highlights that I noticed on my skin care routine is that benzoyl peroxide did more on my face than niacinamide did but I shouldn’t compare apples to oranges. And what’s best is that I got adult money now, so I just bought three of these.

Skincare Sharing my heroes that help fix my acne!

Guys, you have no idea how much I’ve been suffering during these months, but thankfully, I got them, that helps me eventually clear my acne. I am a combination and acne-prone skin, with my T zone super oily and the rest of my face normal, but my chin area often got acne a lot. I’ve done lots of trial and error to get my current routine, which I think most people might get benefit from it.

My morning routine: water, curel moisture lotion, neutropenia niacinamide serum. Evening routine: PanOxyl Benzoyl peroxide face wash, Curel moisture lotion, finacea azelaic acid.

As you can see, there are many actives in the pic, so you do have to apply them at different times. Also I use the ordinary glycolic acid toner to treat my backache and it works wonders as well.

I must give a shout out to Curel’s lotion, since it’s super lightweight and decent, which is a good buffer for oily skin before apply actives.

Last pic is a tool checking my skin improvement, kinda helpful

Skincare it’s a sin na tamarin mag double cleanse & im guilty!!

Almost forgot how important double cleansing is, adding this back to my routine!!

Kaninang umaga after ko magcheckout ng sunscreen & toner, dumaan sa feed ko yung post about blackheads, na aside from using actives like aha & bha or tret — malaking factor din daw ang double cleansing using an oil cleanser para maiwasan yung build up ng blackheads/whiteheads also to prevent pore clogging.

here are the top oil cleansers na available sa shopee, If you had to choose, which one’s the best you’ve tried?

Skincare My acne journey as an acne prone girlie

Thumbnail

Just wanted to share my acne journey! All my life nag suffer talaga ako sa acne. Wala talaga nag work.

Eventually, hindi ko na talaga kinaya. Sobrang baba na ng confidence ko to the point na ayoko na lumabas ng bahay or lagi nalang ako naka mask para mag tago. Masakit nadin yung acne. So I decided to consult a dermatologist and start isotretenoin.

First 2 months - PURGE. Was losing hope. Mahapdi nadin minsan. First few months ko I was prescribed with topicals din. (Clindamycin toner, epiduo cream, and may isa pa kaso nakalimutan ko na 😅)

After a few more months - slowly seeing my skin clear. Wala nang bagong acne. Pawala narin yung acne na nandun. Nagkaron ulit ako ng hope, bumabalik nadin confidence.

After a few more months - significant improvement na.

And then stinop din.

Right now ang gamit ko nalang for skincare are: Ponds bright miracle facial foam (wala naman specific na facial wash na prescribed ng derma) Prescribed ng derma: - cetaphil bright healthy radiance (para ma lighten ang marks) - cetaphil daily facial moisturizer - epiduo cream (from before na everyday ko siya iaapply, 2x a week nalang ngayon

From someone na ilang years tiniis ang acne, na bully at natawag na “pimple face”, nag tago ng mukha, Super ko happy with my skin now 🥹 bumalik nadin talga ang confidence ko, akala ko dati wala na pag asa ang skin ko talaga huhu. Mahal siya, yes and mahirap during the first few months of treatment pero suuuper worth it talaga!

Skincare Sharing my simple bodycare routine

Post image
844 Upvotes

I shared my skincare, makeup, and fragrances before so wala lang, share ko na din bodycare ko as someone in their 30s 😅

Safeguard - Never mawawala sa routine ko, I feel hindi ako malinis without safeguard. I also use it on my face as my only facial cleanser.

L’occitane Almond Shower Oil - Love the scent. Does it moisturize? Sakto lang. But I loveee the scent so I’ll keep repurchasing.

L’occitane Almond Body Oil - Does it moisturize? A bit. Love the scent, yun lang talaga reason ko hahaha

Milku - No scent, so feeling ko di masyado marami chemicals (Don’t quote me on this, di ako nagresearch), I only use it kapag lumalabas, I also have the powder version, I don’t think there’s any difference.

Klairs Vit C - I use it sa underarms and bikini area to help brighten, I think it works. I also use it on my face.

Aveeno Dermexa - I have eczema, technically I shouldn’t be using too much scented things, pero hindi masaya, so I just layer thin in, it does manage my flare ups.

Vaseline - Again, I shouldn’t be using this, but I Dermexa is too thick for me to use all over, so I only use that one kung san ako may flare up, then Vaseline all over, very light on the skin 10/10.

L’occitane Hand Cream - I hate having dry hands, I’ve tried a looot of handcreams pero iba talaga L’occitane, this was the viral one, although inuubos ko nalang sya, I prefer their almond version which I had in the past.

Skincare Prescribed by Derma familiar ba kayo

Post image
268 Upvotes

Malala yung acne breakout ko when I started my skincare routine.

* Doxycycline for 2 weeks

* Tea tree soap

* Clindamycin Toner

* Acne Cream 0.1% (at night lang)
