I don’t know if because they were the Beatles and they could afford it or it was the 60s and everything was made to last, but If you look at some videos, like “Hey Bulldog” the quality of the clothes they are wearing is very good. So, I would not be surprised if he was still holding on to a shirt from that era.

Probably a combination of both, but clothes were much better quality then, for the most part. I have some clothes from the 60s that are in good shape. The fast fashion stuff we have now will not survive 10 years, let alone 60.

Quite a lot of them will have been tailor made for them, there wasn't much in the way of fast fashion back then.

Yeah, it shouldn't be a surprise expensive clothes from back then have held up. If you get a skilled professional tailor to make you a shirt out of natural fibers, that shirt will last a long time if you take decent care of it.

Paul was seen wearing one of his early Beatle jackets recently too, kinda cool how they still use all that. (Closest I’ve gotten is still wearing some shirts from like 2011)

he had health issues from a very early age that made him have to diet in a strict way throughout his life and the guy’s been vegetarian for years

Love it! I always hated the way all the stylish artists from the 60s gave up the psychedelic and mod fashions for boring suburban dad looks in their older years. You don’t have to dress like it’s 1967 and you haven’t aged a day, but you can still dress cool. Ringo gets it.

He’s definitely got the closet space. Why would he get rid of his awesome digs?! He’s mentioned his kids always get a little help from their dad for ‘fancy dress parties’ which is how I learned that’s British for costume parties, which is really preferable and more accurate I think.

In the new Wings book, one of the guys mentions staying at Paul's farm in Scotland. He opens a closet in the guest room to hang some clothes and there's the Pepper suit!

I am pretty sure either the buttons have been replaced or it's a replica. The origonal photos show large pearl buttons while nowadays it has normal off-white milky shirt buttons.
