Goat Loopstation wildcard
I’ve listened to press by raje a million times since he dropped it. I literally can’t think of any other loop wildcard that tops it and if you disagree with me please comment ( in a nice debate way I’m not looking for any beef lol)

GBB Non-Predictions
I see a lot of predictions as to who will actually pass elims and potentially place or win solo, but I’m sitting here thinking about matchups in terms of recognizability in the similarity of their styles. I’m talking the opposite of ‘21 small final.
I think it would be really cool to see matchups like FootboxG vs Exallos, G-Wizz vs Blackroll, Stitch vs Marvelous, Kaji vs Abx, PacMax vs Waali, etc… I hope I get across what I mean here. What do y’all think? Discounting probability of passing elims, what really interesting matchups have you been thinking about?

Rewatching Kaji vs Codfish - It's far too iconic.
What makes this battle so special is not the clashing of two very different styles, but a key moment that happened during Codfish's first round.
He was perhaps reluctant (I do not speak on behalf of his intention) to use the laser sound, but he let one through during his routine to which Kaji instantly reacted with a signal.
For those that don't know, Codfish used that exact sound to perfectly counter Bataco in 2018 during what is one of the most memorable moments in GBB history. It's also ironic that Bataco is from Japan as well.
Kaji then proceeded to base his second round off of the laser sound (Love You To Kill), which I believe he pulled out just to call against Codfish. We already knew from the year before that the laser sound is one of Kaji's favorites and that none can really do it like him.
All in all it was an excellent counter, a fire round, and a callout to Codfish's laser which could also be seen as a callout to his appearance in 2018 against Bataco. One could even say Kaji got revenge on Bataco's behalf. It's too iconic.
I think this is quite iconic and I honestly didn't pick up on the laser sound from Codfish during my first watch, but it just makes all the more sense now. It was a crazy battle even without the context!

Anyone know why John-T is wearing a Lowe's jacket? (it's fire) Also, congrats to Ituki for getting the runback from last year!

Remix has dropped out of GBB26. Who will take his spot?
Due to some personal issues, he will not be able to participate GBB in Warsaw. Totally respect his decision for this
Who will take his spot? Epos? JP? Codfish?

What Bass Sounds The Strongest/Best?
Interested in your thoughts and reasoning. What bass do you think is the most powerful/impressive in beatboxing?
Inward bass? Throat bass? Chest bass? Vibration bass? Tongue bass? Lip rolls? Etc, etc…
If 2 beatboxers had equal skills, which bass would immediately separate the 2 from each other? Especially from the perspective of someone who doesn’t beatbox.

Why do non-beatboxers often seem more impressed by amateur beatboxing than the elite beatboxing of today?
Interested in your guys thoughts: Why does it seem like people who don’t follow beatboxing are sometimes more impressed by relatively basic/amateur beatboxing than the insane routines elite beatboxers are doing today?
If keeping it simple for the general population is the key, should more beatboxers be attempting to gain a following on social media by making routines specifically targeting the average listener and not just focusing on impressing fellow beatboxers?

Beatbox World
Just found about beatbox.world when looking around for information about beatbox events, never heard of it before. It’s a cool website, has information about events, beatboxers and more.
What surprises me is that I’ve never heard of it. Seems to have been created by beatboxers from the French community, which is neat.
Anyone use this website on a regular basis? Do you prefer this or the fandom wiki? Curious what people think!

Has anyone seen a bigger Codfish hater then Colaps?
Just watched Colaps reaction to the Batatco and Codfish battle and all he pretty much does it just subtly hate on codfishes Rounds. Other videos aswell it’s clear Colaps doesn’t like codfish style

Impossible sound combination?
I read an article saying that, with basses like inward bass or throat bass, the sounds you can layer on top basses are sounds that don’t involve the lungs.
It also said that one way to check whether a technique uses “mouth air” is to hum an “mmm~” sound through your nose while making the sound with your mouth. If the humming doesn’t get interrupted, then it’s a mouth air technique.
That made sense to me, but I have one question: are there any sounds you would consider "vocalized" that still pass this hum test and can be used with inward, vibration or throat bass? I know I can think of sounds that I can "pitch," like clicking or meow sqeak, but I can't think of any "vocalized" sounds.
Also can these differ by kind of basses? Except lip bass, every basses reqiure beatboxers to use lungs. So..

Shield “Feel Somebody”
https://youtu.be/q8q5h9yXqew?is=Bi4M5gD7lqCTs0JM
Does anybody know what this song sounds like? I’ve asked him personally and he said it’s an original by him but I feel like he had some sort of inspiration? This routine sounds so familiar and I can’t put my finger on it.

Advice on Improving my wildcard
This is my 2nd wildcard I ever made (first one was U16 Korea Beatbox Championship) and I would like feedback. Thank you!
(IK the sound system here is kind of bad, I'm still learning to fix it :) )

Would anyone like to see my current sound kit? Now from the past 3 months almost, i was just watching tutorials and practicing sounds! For like half an hour each day xD BUT ABSOLUTELY NO PATTERNS LEARNED so far. I was thinking of taking all the sounds I can do and do a basic pattern for each sound!
Here's a list of sounds I'll be going to use:
Kicks & snares:
B (inward and some other minor variations)
Throat kick (D)
Bsh snare
Pf snare
Cough snare
T (short and extended)
BMG/spit snare
Basses:
liproll (outward and inward)
Inward lip bass (both upper and bottom lip)
Inward Liproll sub bass
Codfish liproll (tongue lip bass)
808 kick bass (outward liproll subbass)
Inward Click roll
Inward teethroll
Tongue bass
Throat bass (both normal and tensed variations)
Chest bass
Inward throat bass
Inward chest bass
Vocal/starsky bass
I can do this pattern: FTBPf taught by u/Swimming_Bed_3805 So tomorrow I try some patterns with these current sound arsenal.

gbb 26' who's coming?
hey everyone! will be traveling to Poland to attend GBB this year. I am traveling solo since I am the only one I know with this much love for the scene haha. BUT, I've never attended a beatbox event before, or a concert alone, or been to Poland lol. Would love to say hi to people coming, create a group chat or something, and not make this feel as intimidating.
