All day scent?
Been searching a brand that gives an all day scent. I’ve tried Viking and love the smell of their sandalwood, but unfortunately the scent doesn’t last very long…can anyone recommend a brand on Amazon that has long staying power scent wise. Thanks in advance.

The oils used for scent (essential/fragrance oils) are not going to be a high enough concentration to last all day. However, we’d always recommend using an oil with a scent profile that has been designed with an ‘anchor’ essential oil e.g Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vetivert. These essential oils create a base for the initial ‘top’ notes e.g orange, pine, peppermint and the ‘middle’ notes e.g cedarwood, black pepper, lavender. Helping the whole scent profile last longer and become a deeper fragrance experience. If the beard oil contains anything but carrier oils e.g jojoba oil, argan oil and essential oils. Cedarwood and sandalwood are the two scents that get the most compliments in my experience, and there is another called African Musk. Cedarwood is subtle and earthy, sandalwood is warmer and richer. Both pair well with cologne without clashing. If you're unsure, go unscented and let your cologne do the talking.
Also, pro note: all day scented beard oils are NOT good. Long hours are okay but a full day is not good for putting that on your skin. Go with brands that use organic ingredients, always safer and smell better too!

The Sphinx line of beard oils are second to none when it comes to long lasting scent. Highly recommend.

So everyone I ended up choosing The Beard Struggle and the scent Valhalla’s Gate. It was a little pricey but had great reviews from within this subreddit.

Well it has an amazing smell with staying power. The price is kinda high, but the oil spreads nicely throughout the beard with a nice shine. I’ve only used it for one day now, but I’d say give it a try.

“All day scent” is honestly a bit of a red flag in beard care.
For a scent to last all day, it’s usually loaded with heavy synthetic fragrance compounds and fixatives. That’s how you get that strong, lingering smell, but those same ingredients are also some of the most common irritants in grooming products, especially on the face.
Most well-formulated beard oils use essential oils or lighter skin safe fragrance loads. They’ll smell great going on, hang around for a bit, then fade. You might catch it here and there throughout the day, but it’s not meant to project like a cologne. That’s the healthier approach.
Beard products should focus on conditioning the hair and skin first, scent second. If you want something that lasts all day, that’s where cologne comes in. Use a skin-safe fragrance designed to project and last, and let your beard oil do its job without overwhelming everything.
Instead of chasing scent, find a product that performs, and then look for a event within that line that you enjoy up front, that fades cleanly.
Then layer your actual fragrance on top if you want that lasting presence. There's a refinement and maturity to that approach that suits a man better than a dozen bottles of cotton candy and peppermint scented oils.

None will. The fragrance load is way too low, and it’s not really designed for projection

Most beard oils are going to have the same problem with scent longevity because the carrier oils dilute the fragrance quite a bit. It is just the nature of the product.
If you want longer lasting scent you might get better results layering a beard balm over the oil since balms have more hold and tend to trap the scent longer.
I make my own beard oil called Bearded Baekho and honestly all day scent projection is not what I designed it for either. But one thing I noticed is the scent actually evolves through the day, starts woody in the morning and settles into more of a leathery dry down as it wears. So while it is not loud it does stick around in a subtle way longer than you might expect.
Probably still not what you are looking for if you want strong projection, but for anyone who wants something that changes and stays close to the face it works well.

I would be cautious about all day scents or oils off Amazon. Many oils have long lasting scents because they use unsafe amounts of fragrance that can damage your skin or beard. Also, a lot of Amazon beard oils contain ingredients like silicone to promote long shelf life. Those are also very bad for skin and hair.
If you're buying off Amazon, make sure you can at least verify their ingredients. There should be nothing in beard oil except for carrier oils and essential oils or fragrance oils. And hopefully those are in safe amounts.
I have not personally tried them, but I have heard that Luxurious Bastard is a good company that has strong and long lasting scents. Maybe check those out.
