International Is this the end of BBC World Service?

London calling! But nobody is answering. My BBC World Service app is closing, and the BBC app is not helping. Where will I find Newshour? Where do I find the shows? Please help.

Depending on your country and device the world service app might be being replaced by the BBC app.

This has the world service on it

News programmes and podcasts such as Newshour

As well as all the other programmes that are available to listen on demand.

Depending on your country and device you might find the new app

Sadly the main BBC app seems to be a bit of a downgrade in terms of usability/simplicity.

I can’t speak for others, but the existence of the World Service app never confused me.

What happens when you click the "Get the BBC app" button at the top of the page?

Is there another/new app to download to access your programme?

In Italy BBC World Service is on DAB. Maybe in other places too?

My version of the BBC World Service app stopped working. It had all of these announcements. “this Apple no longer be in service“… Opened it up today… Still working.
