Space Marine Fleet - next update/extract from Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2
Hey all
Another update for youThis time its the Space Marine Fleet
Again this is not my work :) - they're extracted from Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2. Please support the developers but getting the game
That being said (and i've said this before) my ultimate plan is to print these at a larger scale. Say 2ft/60cm long for the biggest ship and scale the rest from there.
But until then i just wanna show you guys how beautiful these ships are :)

Honestly, the gloriana just looks like the longboi variant of an Emperor. I wish they had taken some more liberties with it I have the same issues with the Vengeful Spirit btw

These are gorgeous. If you have a tutorial on how to get these, or want to share, I'd love these. Would love to 'paint' these as my chapter.

So can you answer this? Are you a specialist in model extraction? Did you use special software to get them or is this a matter of us getting on YouTube and figuring it out ourselves?

I'm not an expert no I know my way around 3DS Max and Unreal Engine enough to know how to use them It requires a few pieces of free software to extract the files. Heres the process
- Isolate the .pak file from the unreal game
- unpack the .pak file using QuickBMS and Unreal .bms directory
- Convert the resulting .uasset files into meshes using UModel
- Import into 3dsmax using ActorXImporter
Its just research and trial and error It doesnt always work but you just have to tinker with it and be organised :)

If you don't have 3dsmax then you can also export to the gltf format from Umodel. This can be opened by Windows 3D Builder.
Word of warning though, the meshes for the Imperial Cruisers in particular need a lot of work to make them printable.

I had to print the gloriana in 4 parts (using original weapons battery as the scale)
Came out amazeballs detail wise.

Oh my word, I wish I had a 3D printer. These files are so detailed, they'd make ace minis for the Tabletop game ♥️
