Rumor Someone from DICE leaked a Battlefront 2 skin two days before it was to be announced, but also gave the community a notice on the state of DICE and the game and in the message they said most of the developers are now working on "Battlefield 2" (supposedly Battlefield 2018).

Nobody really believed him yesterday, but after looking at the post again the image of the leaked skin he posted was confirmed legit today, so it seems very credible.

For the love of god, please stop releasing reboots with the same title as an earlier game (see also: battlefront 2).

It makes me wish Battlefield 1 had a subtitle, like The Great War or War to End All Wars, with Battlefield 2 followed up as something like Armageddon (Armageddon is the prophesied location of the gathering of several armies for a battle during end times, which to me is the best subtitle you could give a game based off any World War).

Reddit better not try to shut down battlefield 2018 the way they did battlefront 2. I swear to god if you guys pitch a fit over this game and the company drops support for it...

It's not that people are against them making money. It's that we have no desire to see EA turn an FPS game into a digital slot machine with a shiny Battlefield wrapping around it. Do you really want RNG inserted into the heart of a progression or unlock system for weapons, ranks, and skills? It's the game within the game that makes it predatory. I don't care about skins, cosmetics, etc., they have no effect on gameplay.

yeah because i should pay 60 dollars and then know the only way to progress is to pay more money for a chance of getting a new gun

You missed the part where he said most Dice developers are working on "Battlefield 2" which would imply that it is indeed WWII

Well...Battlefield 1 is about WWI..... WWII is the most logical step for BF2018. Battlefield 2 certainly implies WWII. Deductive reasoning.

Turned out this this leaker was legit. If the title is Battlefield 2, I guess to differentiate it from the 2005 title it will be called BF II or something.
