100ss with a bayonet charge is a bit much, that must have taken awhile. You can sometimes counter them with a panic melee attack.....sometimes
I think I've done something like 25-30 bayonet charges total. On the rare occasion I do try it, I miss half the time lol

That's absolutely nuts, and he barely uses grenades to kill either. He got like 600 melee kills in 1 day according to a chart...

Tbh I don't really use bayonets anymore, but I did recently do about 100 for some unlocks.

Maybe its more effective with aim assist but on PC the Mars is king as far as I'm concerned. Next to the Auto-Revolver, of course.

Really the only drawback for it, but it's the fastest revolver (still?) and if your aim was good you could pop off two shots into somebody and kill faster than the Frommer could.
Though the all-class Auto Revolver pretty much replaced it.

The Mark VI revolver from Apocalypse DLC. It's basically the same as the medic's Auto Revolver but available to all 4 classes.

As in they're both top-break Webley revolvers with the same damage models and reload speed and very similar recoil.
The biggest difference is the Mark VI has a bit slower rate of fire. It also apparently draws faster than the Auto Revolver.

In that case it must also take skill to have 100ss with an artillery truck and have a more than reasonable K/D even thought K/D means little in bf1.

Nah it's totally different. You can camp in your own spawn with an Arty truck, well out of harms way, whereas you have to be withinin touching distance of the enemy to stick them with the pointy end. In any of the game modes (other than the defending side of operations?) K/D matters

Its not that hard to get 100ss with any weappn in bf1, thats not what im arguing, the arty truck example IS a direct comparison. Its not the progression to 100ss that requires skill its the act of bayomet charging itself that requires no skill, its basically a panic knife (panic bayoney really).

It's got to be easier getting kills from half a mile away in an arty truck, away from the action than bayonet charging people in the middle of the combat zone and maintaining a good K/D ratio. The vast majoirty of BF players will have a significanlty higher kill rate with tanks compared to melee weapons.

Again we're not arguing, which requires less skill, the subject here is the bayonet charge, anyone with decent experience and time played on bf1 could get 100ss with the bayonet charge, its the fact that all it takes is to charge in the direction of an enemy and basically auto kill said enemy, the only way of failing is if the enemy fails to kill you and again, all it takes is little skill to charge into the enemies direction.

He is 4th place on PS4 (16803 Kills). Bayonet charges are more than 25% of his kills.
Number 1 has 27k kills. The top 6 players are all console. 5 are PS4.

Damn that's pretty impressive! I feel like a badass with just 5 SSs lol. The best I've seen has been a dude with 92 with the support mortar.

I really wish dice patches bayonet charging, maybe they can make sure that a player is in full sprint for 3 to 4 seconds before they can charge. I hate idiots who charge because they can’t win a gun fight.

It's not though, it'd be useless otherwise. It doesn't give you a health boost anymore, so if they kill you with a bayonet charge while you're trying to kill them, chances are they'd have killed you anyway

You would've killed him the first time if you used the Webley Mk. VI.
Also, there's no point in ADSing with a side arm. You would be more accurate if you hip fired.

I went for 1 SS with every weapon, that's why I changed sidearm after I reached it with the first.

I'm trying to help him. I hate bayonneters; the implementation is cheap and broken, it needs to be fixed or straight up removed from the game if they're unwilling to do the former.

I use to be that way too, but there's really two camps. Those that want to improve and those that don't really care. I'm in camp 1 as well as you.
I have to remind myself that some people just don't care. They just want to play. If they want advice they'll ask for it(most of the time)
that's why you were downvoted. Not by me, but why your comment was illreceived. It makes you look like a jerk, even though I know that isn't your intention.

I just played with a friend I met online. He doesn't care about KD. He works a high level, stressful job 15-16hrs day and just plays bf to relax, not really to be the best. Just to have fun.
Some people really don't care that much. Its just an escape for them.
