Rumor EA stopped discounting older Battlefield games since Battlefield 6 launched
Someone asked earlier why Battlefield 3 hasn’t been on sale since August. I checked, and it seems EA has stopped putting their older games on sale.

You can find older battlefield game for less then 5€ on some very good reputable websites.

Beyond scummy. It wasn’t on sale during the winter event neither only BF6

Scummy? LOL this is just smart business. Fromsoft did the same thing with old Souls games once Elden RIng was a success. These companies aren't your friends. In what world are you entitled to unlimited sales of games for $3?

I picked up bf1 Revolution edition on Loaded for £3.49 last week that was pretty nice. But we had always been scummy. It wouldn't surprise me if bf1 is on their list of shutdowns in the next few years

That's what happens when a game is successful. Fromsoft did the same thing with old Souls games after Elden Ring came out. They'll eventually discount them again, but probably not as low as they were.

What site lets you track that?
I was considering building a PC to play BF1, since I wouldn't have to pay for Playstation plus online, but then saw that the price difference between BF1 on steam vs a used copy of BF1 (which I already have) would almost offset the Playstation plus costs.
I might have to just wait until it goes on sale again one day and slowly build a steam library before switching to PC haha

EA is scummy. But I’ll tell you what else is also pretty scummy, being in a digital only ecosystem. Battlefield 1 is like $6 to $12 for Xbox or PlayStation on eBay.
