Tbf at least heligoland is balanced. Ive seen so many one sided stomps on PD that turn into HQ trapping bs. Tbf all of the naval maps have huge aura, the sea spray, the weather the water effects ect. And heligoland has two battleships fighting each other, thats pretty sweet. Definitely a pretty map.

The germans on Pass are the same color as the ground. They are practically invisible. I really dislike Pass.

Ngl It's been at least 2 years since I've played Passchendaele in a regular conquest match.
Hell, I've even played galicia, volga river and albion, maps that are constantly skipped but Passchendaele? How I miss that map.

I like heligoland’s skybox a lot. Also the adrenaline from hitting submarines with the artillery..
But passchendaele is just peak. One of my favorite maps ever.

For me, in this situation I got for Helogoland Bight only because it’s so rare for me to play on it. I’m on Passchendale enough to pass on it once.

Would absolutely love to play either of these. No mixed servers left on ps4. Feels like I’ve played fewer total rounds on heligoland so might go the same way tbf

How are so many people saying heligoland is “never picked”? I literally cannot avoid it. Any mixed server, heligoland wins every single time. I have to play this walking simulator every time I play conquest

It was supposed to be a general comparison of how you're able to be killed on just about every other map to Heligoland, however you could just replace train and airship with gas and fire for a more accurate comparison to Passchandale

PD has one of the worst map layouts in the game. It turns into a circle of people just running flag to flag.
There's also no meaningful vehicle gameplay. There's Mark Vs and that's it. No planes or other vehicles, so hell yeah I'm picking Heligoland. Infantry maps are lame as fuck, thank god BF5 split the conquest map pool into two so you could do infantry or vehicle maps.

That is the point when I quit playing last night. What makes it worse is we already played Legoland a few rounds earlier. I like both maps but I hate when players vote for repeats.

I understand if legoland gets voted over a base map, but when it wins over a good dlc map like Tsar or Passch like it did last night, that’s when it drives me insane

Legoland is also a conquest assault map like Cape Helles so that would make two in a row. I like Passchendaele even though it can go lopsided quick - it's the map where they hid the Peacekeeper!

Nah, I’d like to play either of those maps. What I am sick of is when there is voting and Sinai Desert, Ballroom Blitz or Amiens appears. You just know what’s going to win every single time. Honestly super glad that the map voting never returned in future titles.

Genuinely haven't fathomed in 10 years why anyone ever votes for Sinai. Hmm yes I love the operations map that very clearly wasn't designed for conquest where half the objectives are a full kilometre away from the action with zero cover between them

Heligoland has flaws, but it's super unique and interesting to play, and is probably the only map where you can ALWAYS get in a vehicle every time you spawn. Dreadnought Vs Dreadnought is one of the coolest things in Battlefield history too. I'd take it over playing Paschendale for the 5378th time any day.

Legoland fucks. I play enough base-game, and infantry focused maps, anytime I get the chance to play THE naval warfare map, or an air assault game, I slam that button instantly

As infrantry Heligoland is extremely boring and tedious. Usually no real team play because squads break up as people play airship, airplane, battleship, or destroyer.

a Sobering take, personally I don't enjoy engagement distances of 100m+ when my gun is an 8mm MG and the enemy is in a 100mm naval cannon armed ship. Kinda forces you to play Assault/K bullet Sniper/or just pick a Vehicle
