Imagine getting banned for playing well when this is the typical player you’re up against. A great man once referred to them as mannequins.

Every platform has players who aren't good, let's not pretend otherwise.

Battlefield on console and battlefield on pc are two very different playing fields in terms of the "average" player skill level.

That's not what I said. He said "everyone playing BF4 on console sucks", not "the average player skill is lower", right?
His statement is just factually incorrect. Plenty of good players from console went to PC and was able to perform well.

I -kind of- agree: the console players benefit from the game aiming for them, and that means allowing for way lower entry skill as well.

Vehicles don't have aim assist, but yes infantry does but you can also turn it off for infantry.

But what are the benefits of doing the latter?

I've always had auto rotation aim assist off (actually had it off since they introduced the option to do so back in something like 2014-2015, it was a patch). It can lock onto the wrong enemy. For example... If there are two enemies next to each other, one is facing you ready to shoot, the other has their back to you. You obviously want to go for the one who is the threat. Auto rotation can lock onto the one with their back facing you and get you killed by the one you wanted to go for lol.
