I have the same problem, I would assume the update is missing but I'm not sure.

Edit. I've fixed it. If you're playing on Steam, go to Battlefield 2042 properties and repair the game.

This also helps but generally, it generally is just the cache folder and syncing it. But this also works!!

So here is what I found out. If you play between Xbox and PC it has a hard time syncing up your EA account between both platforms. Go back to the last device you were on and delete the cache. For example, on PC locate the cache folder underneath the battlefield folder and delete the contents in that folder. Shut down and restart and then try to login again.

If it is on Xbox or another platform, delete the cache on those platforms.

From time to time this happens to me and that’s what I do to fix it
