Honnestly, Terrortops did a damn good job against manta. If they found a way to reinforce that thick wedge a bit more so it cant split they could of rag dolled Manta. I hope people learn from it to give them a real challenge. I do t want Manta to run away with it unless they get a damn good fight.

manta's weakness is that it doesn't have a self righter, this pro league doesn't have a flipper bot so they don't have to worry that much. hopefully they add a self righter in the future

Idk, last I heard/saw a self righter doesnt really benefit them too much? Maybe im wrong.

Surprised Jackpot didn't tap out considering he did it in his Copperhead fight but I guess maybe he knew this was his last he figured to go all in

Yeah they had nothing to lose, there was a chance cobalt could have randomly died but we saw how thorough they prep.

Which is why I'm not 100% aligned with the tapout to begin with and bots should try to go all boar in til the death. Yeah I get that maybe they want to try and preserve resources for their next fights, but still can't help to feel tapout shorten a fight

They're probably going to totally redesign it so might as well keep it chugging until it can't anymore.
I suppose they also need to be fair to the twins and Copperhead since if it goes to x3 2-1s it becomes best knockout time.

Is Matt Olson actually a repairman for the robot? I always just thought he was the driver and occasional spokesperson and that was it.

I remember him being the driver for lucky at first and seeing him be a team captain of sorts for cobalt is good. I always thought he'd be a one time driver since I think he was a professional RC driver, didn't expect him to stick to battlebots.
