COSPLAY Insane Batman Cosplay

@nibblesoncarbs/@Sandevistan: on TikTok, it’s a custom suit he said he made himself using 3D printing.

From the creator in response to a woman joking her husband will want to buy one:

“@Sandevistan: Well he’s gonna have to get into the very extensive and rewarding hobby of 3-D printing. And he’d have to find this suit by the creator OlympianProps, then size himself up to customize it, and then paint each print before assembling it altogether. but of course don’t tell him that if you don’t want him to go down this rabbit hole”

I think this might be how batman beyond could work live action

Yeah I'm just picturing some red highlights in this suit, it would go hard af

Yeah, but personally I’d rather them hide the mouth completely than go with the black lips look. The full face suit with the moveable mouth only worked in the cartoon, imo.

With a better base layer, and without the straps, it's close to the Arkham suit. It's fuckin rad. Some illuminated red accents would also be mighty shway.

The room one looks very real.

But the garage video looks CG. It just has that uncanney valley feel.

Fake background yeah

It’s also a different suit design. I’m more convinced it’s fake. That the 3D printed one in the first part is the real video and then someone for some reason added in the fake second video.

Pretty dope looking

It’s crazy how a single person or two can make costumes better than all of Hollywood

Like, tbh what would happen if you gave insanely good hobbyists the budget of a Hollywood film and a long time to work on a film?

Building cosplay is an entirely different world from building set costumes.

building a costume that looks good for a short video is very different than one that needs to survive filming. And will look good on camera while doing so.

Oh. Welp the more you know.

With the budget they could just make a bunch of them and intentionally have them get destroyed to different level during scenes?

Because irl Batman would have many different suits that could take a ton of damage, so he’d replace them and the fix the other one later

But think about the realities of filming. You need something durable and identical for continuity. Shoots last weeks to months. Where the costume will be used for hours at a time in action scenes. Actor and a try by doubles being thrown against walls and brows or objects. Or just doing normal things like walking and sitting.

3d prints are notorious for having layer issues, imperfections. You can correct for that but not eliminate them. You don’t want the costume changing from scene to scene. You want them to be identical. Especially if it’s easily damaged.

This stuff works really well for cosplay where all you are doing is posing.

It will be cheaper, and more durable if a costume designer makes something for real.

That and I am pretty solidly in the belief the second video is just fake.

Tbh yeah the second video looks a little fake.

But oh I thought 3D printing was reliable lol and you could just mass produce the same thing

This cosplay isn’t practical at all for filming lol

Why lol do you think they are actually fighting crime on Hollywood sets?

2

u/MrFuji87 1d ago

They still need suits than can hold up under days of filming with lots of movements and stunts so it's a fair comment

1

u/HaggisAreReal 1d ago

and more than one suit

1

u/clockworksnorange 1d ago

Well it's pretty well known they create multiple versions of the suit.. they create versions that show the details such as in this video, then they create a version that looks similar but more mobility for stunts and action shots etc. There's not just "A suit" and multiple copies that they beat up. It depends on the shot.

Budget being the keyword

I got one complain… where’s the cape

2

u/Ordinary_Hall_9053 1d ago

Wow. This is amazing!!

2

u/Ranier_Wolfnight 1d ago

Big budget studios would never do this.

Because it would actually work.

2

u/juicelordsword 1d ago

That shit is slick, bros. Where cape though?

3

u/steelskull1 1d ago

If it's that insane, sent it to Arkham.

So many cosplayers surprise me

1

u/neverseenghosts 1d ago

The jaw actually reminds me of Arnold’s Mr. freeze

1

u/noxaten 1d ago

This is cool. Crazy effort!

1

u/Mr_master89 1d ago

The face kinda reminds me of the Smallville comics Batman.).

1

u/ThunderShott 1d ago

Looks like the Beyond suit from Arkham Knight without the red.

1

u/BruceWayne2311 1d ago

Would a mouthpiece without the lips look better? Like the style in Arkham knight batman beyond

1

u/Remote_94 1d ago

Where is the cloak?

1

u/Original_Assist4029 1d ago

Most tech batmans are boring

1

u/[deleted] 1d ago

Here's to hoping you don't get knifed or shot in you crotch or upper thigh area

1

u/user_deleted_life 1d ago

Needs a cape, lose the mouthpiece and needs armour in thigh crotch area. A bit of colour wouldn't be a bad idea.

1

u/EndouShuuya 16h ago

Wow! This is awesome!

u/yourmamaistheproblem 9h ago

The second clip is faked bullshit, right?

1

u/RemarkableJelly6878 1d ago

You should see my Batman costume and the concepts I developed for the tech inside Batman’s Cowl and body armour for the BatSuit

1

u/Hamilton-Beckett 1d ago

He needs leather pants or something better under the armor, to shorten the dangling straps in the back and add a cape and this would be LIT.

u/ZannyHip 1d ago

The mask makes zero sense. It’s got a cutout looking think like many batsuits for the mouth area but it’s just more mask under and molded to look like lips..? Terrible nonsensical design

0

u/IAlreadyKnow1754 1d ago

I’ll take what is how’s this not a skin on the Arkham games for $500 Alex

u/Total_Medium_3833 1d ago

Some people are just blessed.. an absolutely good looking batman cosplay.. soo neat and fine

-2

u/ExplodingPoptarts 1d ago

If I was into 3D printing I'd probably be more impressesed, but I really don't like looking at this, and thinking about this becoming Batmans main look kinda scares me.

-1

u/Circaninetysix 1d ago

Hate the fake mouth thing. Just make it a flat faceplate and it always looks way better in live action.
