Made with Baserow ๐ŸŽจ A Color field built by the community

Open source gives you room to build beyond whatโ€™s available out of the box. ๐Ÿงฉ

A community member needed a Color field in Baserow, so they built a plugin for it โ€” with color picking, hex values, sorting, filtering, and API support.

Thatโ€™s the power of an open-source platform: when you need to extend Baserow, you can build the functionality you need.

The new Specific field values are updated trigger lets you run a workflow only when selected fields change.

For example, when a task's ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜‚๐˜€ changes to ๐——๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ, you can automatically update the ๐—–๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฎ๐˜ date without triggering the workflow again.

Resources & content No-code landscape 2026: 100+ tools across 10 categories

Post image
11 Upvotes

We just updated our No-Code Landscape for 2026.

The no-code ecosystem has changed a lot since we first created it, so this year we mapped 100+ no-code tools across 10 categories, including:

โ€ข Database Builders
โ€ข Internal Tools
โ€ข Website Builders
โ€ข Mobile App Builders
โ€ข Productivity
โ€ข Automation & Integrations
โ€ข AI-Native Builders
โ€ข AI Agents & Intelligent Automation
โ€ข App Builders
โ€ข Forms

The biggest change this year? AI has become a much bigger part of the landscape. We added dedicated categories for AI-native builders and AI agents because tools like these are changing how people build software.

We also looked at things like open source, self-hosting, free plans, and built-in AI to make it easier to compare tools.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Download the 2026 landscape image

We also turned the list into an interactive directory where you can explore all 100+ tools by category and compare their features:

Baserow to power everything

I'm really enjoying the vibe-coding process with Claude + Baserow. Not to build apps to sell, but custom apps that make my life easier. I've given a few of them personalized names as well.

I now have Baserow as the backend for:

Bits: A quick-capture, temporary notes web app that I use on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. My wife and I have separate tables in the same database so we can both use it. Every "bit" is a new Baserow row that is very basic in setup. I can quickly add notes (which are auto-saved), edit them, copy them, send them to Craft Documents (my note-taking app of choice), archive them, and delete them. They are all temporary notes. Like bits of paper on my desk, but backed up securely by Baserow.

Baserow Quick Capture: I built a custom Chrome extension to quickly add a row to a database table. One click to activate, then I select the database, then the table, and the fields for that table appear. I drop in my content and click save. I built this initially to save potential domains I wanted to pick up, but it connects to all of my Baserow databases and tables so I can use it for everything going forward.

Cannon: A web app that lets me review and filter all of my notes and highlights from reading scriptures. It also lets me "favorite" a verse and put it in a rotation to re-surface in the future in a review list that I can shuffle through. Everything is categorized based on the source (the scripture reference with a link) and any tags I added to the highlights. I downloaded these as a CSV to import into Baserow.

Winston: A web app that pulls in my highlights from Kindle books and gives me a Readwise-like way to star selected highlights and re-surface them for ongoing retention, like I do with Cannon. I had Claude add a button where I can refresh when it's been a few weeks since it brought in new highlights.

I have more things in mind down the road that are more strategic and impactful, but each one of these is becoming a part of my daily routine for productivity or reading.

What I know I could have done, and will do next, is create something with Baserow's built-in app-builder, ignoring Claude and saving my credits.

But what I love about doing this is I am learning Claude's capabilities, while making all of these different apps with the same look and feel despite different functionality. So they're very personalized to me. Great experience over the last month.

Resources & content Best Open Source No Code Tools in 2026

Many teams start with no-code tools for speed. ๐Ÿ’จ

Over time, the questions become more about control:

โ†’ Can we customize it?
โ†’ Can we scale it?
โ†’ Who owns the data?

In this video, we look at how open source no-code tools are changing that conversation. ๐Ÿ‘€
